Shocked that so far only Jacobs looks to be leaving early. With all this supposed turmoil at Bama you would think they would have had declarations already instead of guys saying they are coming back.

Elway would have been better off to have hired Wade Phillips instead of Kubiak in 2015 and tried to get him to keep Fox’s OC. Probably would have extended Manning’s career and picked up at least one more ring.
Wade is HOF level as a DC. Barely mediocre as a HC. He’s had enough opportunities.

The issue is the NFL is letting these QB's pick their head coaches. What you are watching is a millenial transformation of the league. There will definately be some epic flops and things will course correct.
I doubt that. More likely that owners want to copy the success of hiring coaches that are known for getting the most out of their quarterback. Can't blame everything on millennials. This is more old owners that always try to copy what others are doing. They call it a copycat league for a reason. A couple of them will take a chance every once and a while and steal from what colleges are doing (which is stolen from high school innovators) and then other owners will desperately try to copy it. Happens every decade or so as the sport progresses. It's like when west coast offense spread and everyone who ever talked to bill Walsh got a job. Or on defense the Tampa 2 and everyone started copying that and hiring defensive coaches that worked for Dungy like Lovie Smith, leslie Frazier and mike Tomlin just to name a few. Systems show they work and are copied then someone figures out how to counter them and that's copied and so on. Circle of life and what not. I'm sure a bunch of these "crazy" hires will fail, just like hiring the same old type coaches fail a lot too. But some of these will work out.

UPDATE

I appreciate the effort so much but unfortunately, don't believe your cousin will be able to assist.
Returning from the surgeon and apparently the damage covers the entire pancreas. Removal of a portion (I believe is what your cousin had done) is a no-go for me. Another Dr. specialized in a specific procedure followed by a nerve block, seems to be my only possible resort.

But that came with a suggestion of no working until then, so I could eat and deal with the pain that follows (dropped another 6 pounds to 126 this week).
Because of medical bills, not working is absolutely out of the question As is the cost of a trip to a "specialist's specialist" at/near USCjr for treatment, that he wanted to go through.

Dr. Midis is just concerned with my lack of nutrition and the extraordinary weight loss. But I can't pay what I no longer have.
I'll just do what I can and lean on you guys for support during the darker hours.
Again, thank you all so much for allowing me to vent and all of the kind words and prayers!!!
Love ya guys.
I am so sorry to hear this. I had already sent an email before seeing this and just sent another. Prayers!!!

No, it would not have extended Manning's career. He was done and a shell of himself. It worked out perfectly for Manning and he got to go out a winner.

Neck was an issue for a long time, no doubt about it. Looked to me like he ran the offense out of the shotgun where he could see the field and didn’t have to turn around quickly or anything just about the whole time he was at Denver. He was basically running RPO before they even called it that. Kubiak’s O required a lot of under center snaps, quick turnarounds on playaction, and a lot of bootleg. An aged Manning is a square peg trying to fit in a round hole in that offense. Yes, Manning was nearing the end, but I’m pretty convinced Kubiak’s illfitting O accelerated all that.

Not disagreeing. But I still feel that the Broncos last Super Bowl had more to do with Phillips than anything Kubiak did. As an HC, Phillips > or at least equal to Kubiak.

I figured Jacobs would leave. That guy is the real deal.

One more "fair Holly" before the evening is done. I spotted 3 different offensive styles (sets) by the LV's during the game and there may have been more because I only watched about 15 minutes of the game. They even ran a spread at one point when they were behind by 15 points in the first half. It was a fascinating mishmash of stupidity. Brian Rice was a turd earlier this week to folks who called in talking about how incompetent she is on Ainge's show. He kept yelling at one guy "who would you hire to replace her?" Well, a good start would be the other mid-level coaches in the SEC who keep beating them with lesser talent like Mizzou's, Kentucky's, etc. Whatever.

NFL coach carousel is crazy this off season. Any ideas on the Titans new OC?
The princeton guy, Gleeson. 🤐

If she really loves Tennessee, she should do what's best for her school. She should negotiate a buyout and resignation.
She loves the paycheck more. The poor gal is clueless. She thinks she's doing everything right. You'll have to pry her cold dead hands from the wheel of that sucker.

We will never know. Imo, it worked out perfectly for Manning and the Broncos. Despite all Manning records and MVPs, he needed one more Super Bowl win to put him on the Mount Rushmore of NFL QBs and he got it. I'm happy with it
