Tired of hearing all the Boo Carter stuff. Everybody on the team can't be an altar boy. The STAFF is managing Boo and likely other players who have "issues" that the public is not aware of. Boo knocked the crap out of a guy on a bubble screen that should have been reviewed as a possible fumble. It's in our best interest if he's doing what he's capable of for the team. It matters NONE if some of you people don't like him. Just my two cents.
every team needs some "bad guys" around.

I would caution folks to think McCoy is going to play at the same level as last year. He is only 9 months removed from ACL surgery, no fall camp to speak of and no game action. It is going to take time and expect him to split reps with Redmond initially

Will the staff look for another portal cb given the success with McCoy and Hood on back to back years. I think they will as it also give younger guys time to develop. Just my $.02.

If McCoy returns this season, that will highly impress me from a character standpoint.

As noted, he's only 9 months removed from the ACL, it would be fully understandable and still is, if he doesn't play this season.

But, if he does play, with nothing to gain besides being on the field with this team, is a risk that some of us may not take. He does have a NFL career opportunity in front of him. We all know he has people in his ear who are telling him what he should do and shouldn't do.

I don't believe, I at that age, would have the maturity to process all of this.

I'm a McCoy fan rather he returns or not. Of course, I love the idea of him playing and helping this team. But, I'm not going to be angry if he doesn't make it back.

If we have Mccoy we beat Georgia

I do think Boo is playing himself back into a starting role... But to claim he's better than Hood is absurd.

Hood & Farooq are imo the 2 best secondary guys we've got right now...Redmond getting that baptism by fire and it'll be good for him long term.

Ideally we get McCoy back and he's 100% and Boo beats out McMurray or Turrentine to start at S or STAR.
Farooq might be solid enough in defending the pass, but the kid is very iffy with tackling.

Sounds like Mccoy is ready to go and it's up to the medical staff.

I agree it should have been a fumble. I mean, what do you have to do for it to be a catch anymore? The guy caught it, turned, took two steps, then got hit and the ball came out. That’s a fumble. Refs don’t know how to define a catch these days.

The issue has nothing to do with being an "alter boy" off the field. It's not that he gets into situations that he shouldn't be in or is in places he shouldn't be. His issues were not following team standards. Not taking his team responsibilities seriously. Thinking he is above the rules because of his talent. That is different.

Also...maybe I'm old fashioned, but I think if the QB has the ball in his hands and never hands it off or goes past the LOS then it should be called a sack.

Josephs had one play where he caught the QB on a potential screen play where it could have also been a run and it was listed as a TFL. So some of his TFLs have been on QBs this season but because the QB was rushing or assumed to be rushing weren't sacks. To me though if the QB is the only dude to have the ball and is tackled behind the LOS it should be a sack either way.

Cause a sack is listed as a rushing attempt in box score when you look at rushing yards.

That's my TED talk...

True. The other thing is we heard about 3 guys specifically soon as the season ended. Matthews, Boo, and Nico and all 3 had gotten assurances and updates to their NIL to keep them here when the portal opened. Matthews is the only dude that didn't try to hold us hostage before Fall camp began.
