Idk the answer to that. Besides that nobody gets a 1 year contract.

I’m only telling you that this has been a known in the coaching world that Bruce wanted to strong arm AUB into giving his kid the main gig.

Maybe Bruce won enough to make it easy for them to say yes.

If you think that means he’s not gonna run for senate, you’re crazy. These types always want more power. They don’t relinquish it freely.

Someone quoted a booster on South Carolina's 247 board claiming that Beamer wanted to hire a new OL coach in the offseason, but did not because the OL room threatened to transfer. Fans are saying he should have let them transfer because they are all bums, but the OL would have been worse if they had, because you can't attract 5 better in the portal at South Carolina. I don't care who you hire.

Beamer was a hired because others turned SC down. Other coaches turned SC down because it was a bargain basement football budget for a SEC team. Beamer has actually done better than I imaged he would with his resources.
