Not to throw away any game, but if anyone is dealing with lingering issues and needs more time, I’m letting them get it. In a playoff era, two losses and you still make the big dance. I would play the long game and shoot for everyone to be ready by Arkansas. Have McCoy, Gibson, Hobbs, and Moi ready for the last half and go win every game. This team at full health is a playoff contender, can’t lose players for the year trying to force them.

I keep seeing people say this. We've had the depth to overcome injuries for several years now and Georgia needs to prove to me they have a passing game before I pick them to beat us. To be fair I can't pick us to beat them either but I think we have as good a shot at it as anyone on their schedule. Perhaps better.

Exactly why I hate preseason polls. Pollsters refuse to admit they are wrong and don’t make big changes after week 1 which is why it takes weeks for some teams to drop out or rise in the poll.

Polls are useless until November. They are good column filler and fodder for talking heads to fill air time. Also they are Bammer oxygen, they stroke themselves or cut themselves depending where they are ranked.

There's little evidence we do or do not have a top 15 team. It's been one game against a probably horrific team that won't make a bowl.

Making any conclusions about any team who won is just guesswork after one game. Rankings this early are beyond silly.

Go away. Anyone with any understanding about football doesn't need a poll to tell them that we are one of the best teams in the country. Ball watchers need polls to tell them if their team is good.
Both LOS were dominant and that is all I need to see. WGWTFA.

Maybe not entirely, but to a certain degree they matter when it comes to national TV exposure and media attention early in the season. You want the media talking about your team. Being an underdog that nobody talks about was fine for what the program was 4 or 5 years ago, but now we probably want the spotlight. More attention leads to more nationally televised games, more buzz around the program, and it helps with recruiting.
