Imagine going from Saban to a coach that plays the “their crowd was mean to us” cardView attachment 769856
You sure that's not fake? I can't find it.

The fake quote does remind me a lot of Saban, though. Complaining about rushing the field: that's complaining about opposing fans. Being the number one opponent of a rule against fake injuries (and getting his way through this season at the least). Defending his player for hitting a coed after our game in '22 when the guy had already been sent to anger management (saying his player was scared of the young woman) and expecting no opposition to it. Blaming his assistant coaches for getting burned constantly in '22 although he always makes a point of himself being a defensive and DB guru and laps up praise for it when he wins. Spreading the false story about penalties in '22 to make excuses (when the only bad call cost us a TD when Bama got a no-call on an extremely obvious DPI in their own endzone). Expecting special treatment from the NCAA and the Birmingham officials, etc. Expecting fans to be too stupid or brainwashed by sports media not to realize that Saban never won anything at Bama without extreme cheating implicitly sanctioned by the NCAA and a sustained coverup by the sports media.

I truly believe our defense has gotten statistically better over the last 2 years in part because we have not gone as fast on offense and they got more rest on the sidelines. Now if our first game is indicative of the rest of the season and we continue to play fast on offense, then our defensive numbers might suffer. One is just a product of the other.
No

Maybe a very small part. Majority of it is we have started stacking talent on that side of the ball.

I guess Moore has the best shot at turning out ok in that group. I don’t think Arch is talented enough and has been way overhyped. It's clear at this point that Nico has zero instincts that you need at QB. Arnold isn't a good passer. Nelson is already an obvious bust.
I think Arch will be fine and faced the toughest test of his college career this past weekend. Quinn ewers should probably be given a little slack, as should our offense from the playoff game.

Nico, boy… still clear the physical talent, but he is super young when it comes to reading defenses and he relies on his athleticism so much he’s not even giving his coaching a chance. If he was listening to the right people he’d probably put it all together at some point. I wont be surprised if he’s underwhelming his whole college career and somehow moves from a backup to starting spot in the nfl later in his career. Time will tell if he will put in the work to do it.

Moore seems to be in a good situation. We’ll see how he looks against Osu/mich/psu.

Arnold has had his confidence shot so bad I wonder if he’ll ever throw a 300 yard game, or if he’ll get injured running the ball at starting rb workload first.

We all know story on Nelson.

Also, wild that these QBs, for as hyped as they were, still underclassmen as RS Soph in terms of amount of games played. Feel like at the time I expected 3+ to start as freshman.

EDIT: unfortunately this was fabricated lol

Nico is a really good QB, dude has all the tangibles. He may not be a first round draft pick, and certainly may not even make the NFL draft. But to say Rivals etc got their eval wrong? Dude has everything you want, save most important qualities - leadership and between ears.

Arch is still learning. Worst thing that ever happened to Arch from a professional standpoint is to have last name Manning.
I disagree, Nico has all the tangibles, he is a physical freak. He has zero intangibles. I was screaming at the tv, "He's wide freaking open, throw the damn ball." He has zero football IQ and makes Joe Milton look like Gridiron Einstein. Nico is never on time.
If heard one time I heard a hundred, the football people saying how Joey Football was on time. Right time, right place equals money.
