Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

At this point I'm not even sure you'd want to be the guy after the guy who failed after Saban. Expectations will still be sky-high to come in and fix things immediately. That job will take a decade of mediocrity to become less radioactive. Fan expectations have to be completely reset.
Few fans seem to realize the same reasons Saban walked away are the same making it tough for Kalen Deboer to win at Bama. Those reasons don't change with a new coach. They are the reasons they had to settle with this one and give him a ridiculous contract with a ridiculous guarantee.

Did we take a single sack today? I don't recall any. Seemed like great coverage, even without Sanders.

JA seemed to have time and run blocking was pretty good, but could get better as they jell.

Probably going to end up in the finalists for the Joe Moore Award 3rd time in 4 years. Haters need to line up early to preserve their spots in line 😅
I also believe we had very limited penalties across the OL today. The only one I remember was an offsides call, which was BS and caused by the defense jumping early.

Huge step forward if we can stop shooting ourselves in the foot there. Probably worth an extra score a game.

Does anyone else feel like college football doesn’t know what a catch and fumble is? One game I watch, it’s not a catch even though they take like 4 steps, another it’s not even a full step and it’s how a fumble. I’m talking about the LSU game but in general what they call a catch or fumble is all over the place these days.

Bama recruiting is about to come to a screeching halt.
