Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

The way that we’re stocking blue chips now, we’re moving ourselves closer to a top 5 nationally level talent program rather than a top 15 program. I can’t remember what our blue chip rate is, but this class is the start for stockpiling talent.

In 2-3 years with classes like these, we can really close that gap more on programs like Georgia, Ohio St, and Texas.

These classes are the difference in making UT a national title contender every year rather than just a playoff contender every year.
Agree! And we have a staff that has proven they can coach them up! AND it sure seems like we’re sticking to DW’s plan (throughout all sports) of recruiting athletes with good character!

I believe our blue chip rate is around 55%. Ohio State and Bama are around 90% for reference.

I guess Moore has the best shot at turning out ok in that group. I don’t think Arch is talented enough and has been way overhyped. It's clear at this point that Nico has zero instincts that you need at QB. Arnold isn't a good passer. Nelson is already an obvious bust.
I think Arnold is better than most think. His OL and WR group at OU were so bad last year.

Offense cruising
Peyton bruising
Oline rending
Star Ascending
Joey leading
Matthews speeding
Braylon Flying
Fran Brown crying
Score increasing
Very pleasing
Bishop checking
Carter wrecking
Defense sacking
Heup attacking
Nerves do patter
It don't matter
I'm still witty
Vols by fiddy
McMurray striving
Telander diving

Gotta add.

Happy Tuesday

September 2, 2025: You are entering a season of simplicity. It is a time to evaluate and separate the things that are of true importance from those things that have become a habit. This will affect every area of your life and circumstances in preparation for the days ahead. It is time to let go of that which has outlived its relevance in your life and circumstances. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

I swear my account was hacked. Probably that carpetbagger @Glitch.
Hey! I ain't no dang yankee! I was bornt in West Tennessee and raised on humidity and mooskitos right here in the south. Now, @Adam Sandler...fairly certain he spent a fair amount of time in NY and CA...so if you're looking for a capetbagging yankee....look no further.

West Tennessee, New York, Canada. Same
thing.

To think you can come to a conclusion after only one game played on how well opposing teams or players will perform this season..
Nico is a really good QB, dude has all the tangibles. He may not be a first round draft pick, and certainly may not even make the NFL draft. But to say Rivals etc got their eval wrong? Dude has everything you want, save most important qualities - leadership and between ears.

Arch is still learning. Worst thing that ever happened to Arch from a professional standpoint is to have last name Manning.
