When is this going to happen...................

4/5 star signs with XYZ St for 2.5 million a year.
He plays 4 years and has $10 Million in the bank.

He says after is final year........I'm done and doesn't enter the NFL Draft.

I can see a future when this happens. Why risk injury, CTE, etc.............You're already are set for life.

Apparently Farooq is the man. It's gonna be real dangerous for wrs running through his zone. Deon Grant mixed with Jauan Jennings and a sprinkle of Gaulden 👀

I've been watching tape on all of the 2nd and 3rd year players who are slated to get playing time this year and Farooq's tape jumps right at you. He's an absolute headhunter, great in coverage, takes perfect angles and can cross the field in no time. He played at St. Francis in Baltimore which is a top 3 high school for D-1 talent and he played against other powerhouses like IMG, Mater Dei, etc. so he's been going against the highest level of talent for years. If you wondered why we didn't go after a safety in the portal, watch this tape. 3-star haters in shambles
Edrees Farooq Hudl

Note the hit at 1:21. my goodness

Rational. But...

...after taxes, cars, bling, and a house for momma, he's got about tree fitty in the bank.

Shii, how you fitna be set? How you gone drive dat Lambo, crush that n' be set 4 life? U know $10,000,000.00 aint much coin, dawg.

Btw as a college student I lived off of less than $20,000.00 a year, and was happy. Three jobs, and walked to one of them.

Boo meeds to stop paying her internet bill or take her phone from her.

Not sure what her point is. Boo is just as likely to get drafted out of Tennessee as he is at Colorado. Playing for Deion doesn't make him more likely to get drafted. And, with Deion battling cancer, is he even coaching Colorado next year? I hope Boo isn't as eager to burn bridges as his mom his.

Don't buy that $h!+..........invest it. That's why some many athletes are broke.
They are Morans

One NIL QB is getting $2.something.....bought a lot of land and is leasing it for hunting....

Right out of college, I was an assistant pro at a club in Boca Raton. Made $7.25 an hour.
Made more playing mini-tours and gambling. Best four years of my life..............Living day to day.

A young student-athlete with the right support staff around him will absolutely do this at some point. If spent wisely and invested wisely they could absolutely spend the rest of their life working part time doing something they love doing.

What it really will allow them to do is take GA and intern jobs sooner to get into coaching. I think a lot of them get stuck in this "provide for the family" situation and six figures grinding practice squads is hard to turn down...but then 3-5 years down the road they'll find it harder to land those GA/intern roles since they're further removed from the college/connections they had originally.

You need to do a "what's in the bag" post for us fellow golfers. I'd be interested to hear what you're using.

As I said, rational. I have a cousin who is a retired MLB pitcher. He was smart with his money and lives very well in a trashy little mansion on Watts Bar Lake. Unfortunately many treat sports success like winning the lottery and end up exactly like many lottery winners. Dead broke.
