When is this going to happen...................

4/5 star signs with XYZ St for 2.5 million a year.
He plays 4 years and has $10 Million in the bank.

He says after is final year........I'm done and doesn't enter the NFL Draft.

I can see a future when this happens. Why risk injury, CTE, etc.............You're already are set for life.

Rational. But...

...after taxes, cars, bling, and a house for momma, he's got about tree fitty in the bank.

A young student-athlete with the right support staff around him will absolutely do this at some point. If spent wisely and invested wisely they could absolutely spend the rest of their life working part time doing something they love doing.

What it really will allow them to do is take GA and intern jobs sooner to get into coaching. I think a lot of them get stuck in this "provide for the family" situation and six figures grinding practice squads is hard to turn down...but then 3-5 years down the road they'll find it harder to land those GA/intern roles since they're further removed from the college/connections they had originally.

Right out of college, I was an assistant pro at a club in Boca Raton. Made $7.25 an hour.
Made more playing mini-tours and gambling. Best four years of my life..............Living day to day.
You need to do a "what's in the bag" post for us fellow golfers. I'd be interested to hear what you're using.

As I said, rational. I have a cousin who is a retired MLB pitcher. He was smart with his money and lives very well in a trashy little mansion on Watts Bar Lake. Unfortunately many treat sports success like winning the lottery and end up exactly like many lottery winners. Dead broke.

Boo meeds to stop paying her internet bill or take her phone from her.

I feel bad for Boo. He needs to realize his mom is toxic and lean in on the coaches and help he has at UT. He will be much better off the quicker he realizes it and puts his head down at UT to get to the NFL. If he can, he will be a draft pick after next year.

Like Art Shell once told a group of NFL players, if you make a million a year but you spend a million a year your broke. The 1 thing that never needs to change is having to make the grades to be eligible, and whatever governing body is in place should have the power to always enforce that. That is one area I believe they can win even if some nut tries to take it too court. Schools and any governing body should have strong footing there. But as I always say most players and their families want the education. And with all the resources on campus there is no excuse for any not to be able to pass. Even with a learning disability there are resources there to help them. GBO

That Sardar guy might be right, but he's also framing an argument to have him be the answer. Again, he's as much a villain as the current CEO.

And nothing in their whole plan says anything about quality. No quality, no customers. They might've changed their logo back, but the underlying problems remain.
This. The logo was never the problem or the solution. Make better food at better prices. Be more consistent. $20+ at lunch after drink tax and tip for one person better be REALLY good food. CB is not as good as their price. Same as Applebee's. And Starbucks. And all these other giant chains who are floundering. The quality isn't as good as the price.

So December window Boo is gone - got it.
Yeah, I mean two options:

1. Boo actually is invested in trying to be on the team and his mother is sabotaging him because she has the IQ of a garden variety squirrel.

2. His mother is just saying what Boo thinks, and doesn't realize she's sabotaging him because she has the IQ of a garden variety squirrel.

Out of the possibility of option #1 I'll refrain from too much speculation about Boo.

But I'll say this: Deion is not gonna be at Colorado next year. He is gonna beat the "only there to coach his kids" allegations this year and then bounce. Due to health reasons or for another job.

I saw video of their Fall camp. If Deion wasn't out there you would think it is a high school team.
