I don’t think anyone knows what we have at receiver as they haven’t played. Our starters didn’t even play in the scrimmage. Let’s see how we look once Mathews, Stayley, and Brazzel all get on the field.

The "low interception" numbers for Milton and Nico are overhyped. Its because neither offense or defense could catch their air ball passes!

It's mostly the offense where we spread the field so wide.

My neighbor's 13 year old boy asked me if I have any work for him to make a dollar. He wants to buy a ps5 or whatever the new game system is. I told him I'd give him $250 to pressure wash my decks and privacy fence.

He worked for about 2 or 3 hours when a lady I've never seen before pulls in. She jumped out crying that I have "a 10 year old working out in the summer heat". . . saying that there are businesses that do this type of work and kids shouldn't be doing it. I told her not to worry about it, mind her own business and get the he** out of here. I fully expect her husband to be here any minute crying about how I talked to her. . .

I remember doing this type of work when I was 13. What the heck is wrong with people these days?

It was a different time in the 1920's than it is today. Children are protected from many things. You should be horse whipped at high noon in the town square for your sins

Well the mouthpieces for the program have done a good job getting the lay of the land communicated. Vol twitter and the masses may still spiral, but the rest of us have a pretty good grasp of where we are at now, warts and all.

There is some undertones of Heup needing to manage this roster better in aspects too. Sooo I take all that getting out as a sign of awareness at least.

I hope he makes it. I also hope we bring in the quality that we can replace him if need be, as we have started doing. And either way, he will eventually need to be replaced, one way or another. He was one of our top targets and he played well as a true freshman. Our DB room keeps getting better.

Tried reverse sear for the first time on a ribeye tonight. Seasoned generously with kosher salt and crushed black pepper and let it sit in the fridge for about 6 hours. Let it get up to room temp then put in oven at 225°F and pulled out at 120 degrees internal. 1 minute on each side in cast iron, then put some butter, fresh rosemary and thyme in the pan and basted and rendered the fat on the sides. Rested for 5 minutes. Best doggone steak I've ever tasted and perfect medium rare. There's no going back now I think.

Don't think it's gonna take much for Aguilar to match or exceed Nico's stats/performance from last season. Also think he's going to pick up more yards and first downs on the ground when plays break down. He's got the size and weight to sustain some hits out there.

I share most of the concerns about the offense with KingVFL and Swain…but,

I would ease up on placing ceilings based on camp performances. If you were gonna cap the ‘98 team based on camp, they would have won 7-8 games. That offense was utterly atrocious in camp.

Not to mention the fact JA has had 10 fall practices. Would we really expect him to look like Hendon right now? I think he will get better as fall camp and the season goes along. He has played too much and has too much moxy to be a shrinking violet when the lights come on
