This maybe the best defense we’ve had under heup, definitely a solid argument for it. But offense, probably the worst. No difference maker at rb, wr’s are unproven and no depth there. QB is a giant question, as is OL. TE will be solid. BUT, with that being said, if we beat the breaks off of syracuse I will be first in line telling myself generational lies about this teamYou’ll find out soon
Started hauling hay at age 11 did it till I was 18, every summer. You don’t know heat until you load hay into a hayloftMy family would have killed me if i didnt help lolView attachment 762750

I’m not even referencing leverage really. Just that doing it his way has us 30 wins in last 3 years and a playoff appearance.
From where things were when he took it over, the man has performed an exorcism on the program. I’m sure he’s looking to improve but I doubt he sees a glaring weakness currently.
OL it’s just hard for me to say one way or the other cause they’re all new besides Heard.staff feels great about the OL compared to last yr
i cant say there is no difference maker at RB bc we dont know. Its prob a pretty decent room at worst though.
FactsI honestly think people are overlooking CJH’s ability to scheme around his teams shortcomings. We all want the 22 season every year but coach can see we don’t have the players/QB.
Coach Heupel is in my opinion one of the best coaches in college football and has me thinking 8-9 wins any year/ every year.

I hope we can get thru this season without a bunch of Boo drama. I feel like he's gone as soon as he can be.
Even if there’s no “difference maker” at RB there doesn’t need to be. Heupel’s teams since 2016 has averaged 190+ (all but 2 seasons was 200+) rushing yards a game. He’s had some pretty mediocre RB’s. It’s the systemThis maybe the best defense we’ve had under heup, definitely a solid argument for it. But offense, probably the worst. I just have a hard time seeing him struggle worse than Joe and Nico in this offense after watching his tape from the last couple years. He forces stuff, but he has more touch and is a more accurate thrower. Especially of the deep ball. Gets the ball out much quicker.(people aren't going to love this but)
I don't think we're in a good place right now.
Aguilar will start game one, but talent wise he just doesn't have it. He'll probably be okay if we can scheme around him but he's really not a top tier QB in the SEC. There's a reason he transferred to a weak UCLA program.
Merklinger isn't playing with much confidence right now. He's got a good throwing motion and is a decent athlete but it's just not coming together for him. I think in a year or two he could be a *fine* starter for a low-end SEC or middle of the pack ACC program but he's just not a program cornerstone type guy.
George looks the part. He's by far the most natural QB of the bunch with far and away the most talent. If things go south with Joey, I hope we throw George out there and just see what he can do. He's way too skinny to physically survive the SEC grind week in and week out right now. I hope our OL can hold up if he's out there but the kid has a lot of natural talent. Really glad we took him over Deuce Knight last year. Will be fun with him and Faizon competing next year.
It’s funny our own fans always assume everybody else gets better and we get worse/stay the same. Never failsI think we are pretty close in agreement. I think they were average. Not bad. Not horrible. Not great. Just... average/ok.
But with every team on our schedule being better (probably), if they aren't at least average then we probably lose more games. I don't think thats being a NegaVol. Just saying the margin is thin.
But I think we have great coaching so we come out on top of that thin margin.
