Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

The only thing new is the Mike Keith Show. I think that other stuff has been around. Seems like Vols Calls was scrapped for a Mike Keith Show. Was there a Kesling Show?
The live tv show on Gameday is new. That is why they partnered with local tv stations around the state. The Monday show says it’s new, too.

I still think they should've, at least, re-tooled Vols Calls. They could have made it where players answer questions or something. Seems like a waste and mistake to cut off direct fan interaction by killing an outlet that has been around for nearly 4 decades.

I generally agree with this sentiment, but admittedly, I’ve never cared for Vol Calls (except when coaches I didn’t like were about to get fired).

I’m not trying to lose weight, but know several who are. Apx how many calories are needed to be in the sweet spot above starvation mode and remain in a calorie deficit in order to lose weight from fat loss? What’s the time frame a person can not eat yet still avoid starvation mode - 8 hours, 16 hours, etc?

We’ve sent a man to the moon, yet there still appears to be a lack of consensus in the medical field on something as basic as what and how much food to consume to optimize one’s health. Hopefully RFK Jr will continue shaking up this industry.
Get really sick and you will understand medicine is part science and part art.

If we knew 100% of everything there is to know about the body then it would be 100%
science but since research is still occurring it means we have to use some art when we don’t have all the science.

The problem with weight loss is there are body chemistry differences between people that genetically affect people differently. Anyone saying it is simple math equation is being dishonest.

As others have stated, we all know people who can eat and drink everything they want and gain no weight but others who are following a strict diet and measuring everything and workout appropriately and still struggling to lose weight. It is not a simple equation.

I spent a week in India earlier this year. For a short trip, I was able to see different parts of the country - Delhi area, coastal area, and southern/inland communities. I’ll go back one day. I want to see the northern areas around Bangladesh and Nepal.

But there was no shortage of 👀 moments. It felt like there was a much lower value on life there.

Going down an escalator, you see the support/girding holding the structure in place. I guess the designers planned poorly, and the support for the upper escalator didn’t reach far enough to connect to the support for the lower escalator. No problem, they just stacked multiple, random sized, about half-inch thick steel plates to shim it up. Good to go!

And roadways are chaos. On one drive from the coast to an inland town, I checked the driving route on my phone before leaving, and on Google maps, the roadway I had to take was like a dotted line. I thought it was strange, until I came to the first of many sudden turn offs to a dirt/gravel access road. Turns out that this major highway was still under construction, and they were building it in about 5 mile sections. You’re driving along, enjoying smooth 6-lane highway driving for 5 miles. Then with little advanced warning, everyone veers off to a 1.5 lane access road you share with cattle-drawn carts, pedestrians and folks on bicycles. Incredibly, even on the stretches of highway - traveling at night with low visibility - there were people crossing the highway on foot. Talk about white-knuckle driving.

Eating was an adventure too.
I’m looking forward to going one day!

It's not the calls jack. It's for the people who can't afford to go to the games, but can afford an overpriced cheeseburger to sit in a room with a coach for an hour and feel like they have some sort of connection to the program.

I worked for Dooley. Da’Rick is correct. He’s a **** human being and there is a reason he’s going into politics and it isn’t because “he’s a public figure”

He’s a psychopath
I've literally never heard a single person say a good thing about him. I was a kid at the time and had anti-Vols kids heckle me about how they heard from so-and-so that Dooley was a prick.

Pruitt was also an a-hole but his players mostly loved him (Juaun for example). Nobody liked Dooley.
