I'm not sure why you would want that. Would probably mean Telander is injured. Spillman will play, but Telander is the leader of the LB room. I think we're going to see that early on.

I'd also bet Telander is faster and significantly better than last year.
Because Spillman is quicker and likely a draft pick one day. Telander is a great dude and loves his team, but he is not on the level of Spillman and Carter who will both be drafted one day. He is a good linebacker, but the other two are freaks, along with some of the freshmen. And you don’t just get so much more speed because you get a year older. Like I said, it’s a good problem to have.
 
Just an FYI for VN for those that need to lose weight and for those who need to build muscle. If you don’t consume enough calories to be close to your basal metabolic rate then the first step your body takes is to burn muscle mass for calories and save the body fat because it does that in starvation mode.
If you burn a pound of muscle, it generates only 700 calories. Burn a pound of fat and you get 3,500 calories. In starvation mode, you put as many calories back into the fat cells as possible.
To regain that pound of lost muscle, it takes 3,500 calories to build a pound of muscle. Think about that. Also, your body will not build the muscle as long as you are in starvation mode.

I see many of my patients losing significant weight while on GLP1s. It actually concerns me how they look. All of them have lost a significant amount of muscle mass in addition to the fat loss. So please be careful out there.

Also, if you’re on a GLP1 and you need to have any type of surgical procedure, please hold your GLP1 for 2-3 weeks before the procedure. Your bowel and GI tract is still full of slow motility food. That can significantly increase your surgical risk…
I’m not trying to lose weight, but know several who are. Apx how many calories are needed to be in the sweet spot above starvation mode and remain in a calorie deficit in order to lose weight from fat loss? What’s the time frame a person can not eat yet still avoid starvation mode - 8 hours, 16 hours, etc?

We’ve sent a man to the moon, yet there still appears to be a lack of consensus in the medical field on something as basic as what and how much food to consume to optimize one’s health. Hopefully RFK Jr will continue shaking up this industry.

Like I said, they are a mouth piece for our coaches and put out info that the coaches want them too. In return they get more recruiting and inside info. They do put out some good info too and get roster updates and recruiting news from our coaches. But if you don’t think they aren’t pushing coaching narratives and some false news then you are incorrect. How many times did we hear it was a QB competition when Milton got here? It wasn’t. But they don’t want that news out there so the coaches feed that to them and they release it to VQ.
Both Milton and Nico were non-contact practice superstars. From every report, they lit up the defense when they could only be touched. I can understand the delicate flower nico being gun shy from being hit. (Looks like a skinny scarecrow). Milton was surprising to me.

When CJM was head coach and had this issue, he took away the QBs non-contact protection. It worked well for his team. I might be mistaken but I think CPF also had to do that one year too.

Let’s get us a real QB and roll.

The only thing new is the Mike Keith Show. I think that other stuff has been around. Seems like Vols Calls was scrapped for a Mike Keith Show. Was there a Kesling Show?

That’s why the gym community is great. Us late thirties who workout a lot and see young kids, I tell them they are doing great and keep up the good work. Many ask me for spots and workouts which I happily do. I always let them know it’s a grind and takes time but they can do it. Always tell them they are looking bigger every time I see them.
tell them to use very good form. later in life backs, feet, knees, and shoulders support that added weight.

Gave up my gym membership in 2019, when my son was born. Mostly due to covidšŸ˜‰ok...mostly due to burn out.

Had a co worker come up to me at the gym and say 'you know there are weights, you dont have to workout like you're in prison.'

Was always cognizant of strength to body weight ratio. Being strong without adding any mass, for the above reason.
