He did! Had to take special precautions with snap traps in the antique shops. Of course they couldn’t be in the restaurant because of sanitary codes. But they flourished on the outside…were just outnumbered. After we excluded the entry points they ceased being a problem for the restaurant.

It’s kinda funny that butchna is a pest exterminator here on VN too! 😇

With the salary cap the way it is…. That’s the last position that you need to devote that much money too…. To win a Super Bowl…. A team must have an elite qb or an absolutely dominant defense…. Putting that much into a receiver is going to weaken the rest of their team especially when receivers are not that hard to replace…. Compare Diontae Johnson to Tyreek Hill…. Diontae Johnson had very similar stats this season and was paid 28,000,000 less… That’s why I was happy Pittsburgh picked up Tribusky instead of trading for Garopollo…. It allowed us to sign a bunch more players that can hopefully solidify a few positions.

I get the line of thinking, normally agree, but every situation is different. Biggest holes on this team last year was offense, mainly OL, RB, WR. Miami is projected to be a top 10 defense next year even after Flores left and Miami went out and got the top ranked offensive tackle, a solid offensive guard who allowed one sack all year (did have some penalty issues tho), added two strong, but not great RB to add to the committee approach, and then signed a promising WR and an elite WR to the offense. They shored up their biggest holes and you only make the Hill move if you think the roster is in win now mode, so they obviously do. That part is obviously debatable, I don’t feel like it is Super Bowl ready but it’s surely playoff ready.

They had the cap space to do all of this and they still have TWO 1st round draft picks next year and the main draft pick of note they gave up was a very late 1st round pick this year, and a 2nd round pick this year.

The main question that matters in all of this is Tua. I don’t love him, most probably agree, but to his defense he has had an offensive line that ranked 31st in the league both years and a run game that ranked in the bottom 5 both years as well. Not to mention two different OCs both years who were pretty freaking awful. Miami just said “here you go. Prove to us you are a franchise QB.” If not, they have still have the draft capital to pivot next year and a roster that would still be very good for the next few years.

Compare Diontae Johnson to Tyreek Hill?

Ummm. Only thing that is similar is the position they play on the field. Tyreek is 10 times the WR. He is a generational athlete. The Dolphins were smart as hell to jump to get him. The Chiefs will never find a WR to replace him.

House goes on the market next week. This was built in 2018. Wife just noticed wet spot on our down stairs ceiling. Its directly above our shower. Should i say YOLO and paint over the wet spots and not fix the issue? Suggestions would be helpful

If you do, probably shouldn’t post about it 😅

In all seriousness, my current house had this issue when we bought it. We noticed a painted spot on the ceiling directly below a shower, and the inspector noticed it as well during the inspection. We ended up getting the seller to drop the price because it was found, regardless of whether or not it was fixed. We haven’t had any issues with since we moved in 4 years ago.

I think baseball is the easy option here because you get 2 chances to lose. I could see this year's team making it. But I don't like easy, so Barnes gets his **** together and makes a FF.
I think we're in the Golden Age of UT Basketball. I love our coach, the success every year, great recruiting, and good will surrounding the program. But...

I believe the primary reason our seeding was lower than expected is because Barnes consistently underperforms at tournament time. That's not an opinion, it's fact. He has a long history of his teams choking when it matters. You can blame it each year on different (justifiable) reasons: poor backcourt play, bad shooting, hot opponent, etc... Barnes is still the one common denominator through all the programs, teams, and years.

I think this is why some other coaches get seeded higher than expected each year (Izzo, K, etc). They deliver.

I had this thought after we were seeded but didn't say anything because some posters here would go crazy.

The way the market is now, you could probably disclose it and it not have much bearing on the price or speed of selling. But, it's probably nothing too serious (cut out the sheetrock, fix the leak, replace/mud/sand/paint the new sheetrock). We had a similar issue with a bathtub faucet leaking. I was surprised at how little it cost to fix it (I think he only charged me $200-$300).

But don't intentionally hide it...that just makes you an a$$hole.

We will have to revisit this and see how it works out for them.

Its up to Tua and how they scheme the offense. Waddle ran a lot of what Tyreek does. One is going to have to start working deeper. We shall see if Tua can stretch the field. Mahomes was a master of buying time and finding Hill, dont know if Tua has that. They can always upgrade at QB though. You almost have to have an elite WR to win in the NFL these days.

The more elite your qb…. The more elite your receivers look…. Reason I mentioned Diontae Johnson….. last year…. He had 107 Rec for 1100 plus yards and 9 TDs….Hill had 111 rec for 1200 plus yards and 9 TDs…. That was with Ben whose arm was shot compared to having Mahomes as qb….. it may work out for them but it’s a lot of salary to dedicate to that position.

Very good food. Unfortunate pest control situation. They shut the operation down for months to address rodent infestation. Sealed up entry points and deployed rodent bait stations. Got it under control only to find out that the nasty buggers had been eating their body weight in roaches…and that became the new problem! That was 9 years ago so hopefully they capped it.
its my understanding that best way to get rid of a cockroach infestation is to bulldoze and rebuild elsewhere.

It’ll be interesting for sure. One reason Tua had issues stretching the field the last two years, outside of his average at best arm strength, is because teams didn’t have to stack the box to stop the run game. That’s why Miami had so many quick RPO routes because they couldn’t run the ball but were still trying to get the defense to get sucked in while getting 4-6 yards chunks. It just never worked out that well though and teams were still able to sit on the mid-range routes and clog it up. The biggest help to Miami is if they can get a run game going, which Mike McDaniel is known for. Teams won’t be able to sit back and will have to commit more to the box and then you have two of the fastest WR in the game in Hill and Waddle that you have to go man to man on with little help? Sheesh.

All this hinges on the run game and the OL, IMO.

They’ll be in the quarterback market next season like Cleveland is

Yes, you can do what the Dolphins did with a QB on a rookie deal. As you say, the jury is still out on Tua, but his salary gives you the ability to make these kinds of deals. That's why the Chargers are loading up on free agency players, and the Bengals should do the same (and at OL). The difference is the Bengals have their #1 WR on a rookie deal, too.

It is so irritating to hear the question 'would you trade the SEC Tourney Championship for a win in first weekend in NCAA?'

Complete and totally lazy talking point.

Who in their right mind would want that? Of course this year was a success. The NCAA tourney is a joke in how its managed, it was a setup from get go. Yes we should have played better, but we won the SECC for first time since 79.

Super excited for them.

How would you feel if the place you move to comes with “hidden” issues that were not exposed by the sellor?
