Let the debate

Can't really debate. Two different periods.

If Larry Bird played in todays game, he is fouling out in about 15 mins of play. If Lebron played back in the day, then he is getting mauled like a toddler and crying about it all game. I guess it depends who you think can adapt better. (Same goes for the MJ argument)

Old era, you could throw elbows and it would be fine, but now, you can barely make eye contact lol

Bird played like that while getting mauled. If no one could touch him, he would be ridiculous. Like Luca but way better. Also, I won’t discount Lebron even though he whines and flops. He wouldn’t have been rewarded for that behavior back in the day so I’m sure he would at least cut that out.

I wish they would keep it and use what we give them, if I wanted a charity to get it, I would give it to them myself.

People want to help his family. I appreciate the humbleness and thought behind it, but I wish they would just keep it.

I agree after seeing all the background info with the family. Some people/families just seem to encounter obstacles more often than others. Also know there will be plenty of future expenses with the nephew.

People can see the losses have been covered and are still giving. Folks obviously don't want them just to recover but to have a well padded cushion for whatever the future holds. I know that was my intention.

Not much of one. +2.5 PER even when cherrypicking years. Unfortunately for Bird, he just had significant dropoffs before and after this period.

Career wise, Lebron is +4 PER and in the playoffs, +6.5. Then there's the whole competition thing.

I just received news that a best friend's wife has breast cancer. Not sure the full extent, but she will be getting a bilateral mastectomy.

They both had just accepted dream jobs to move to Colorado from Kingston and are in the process of packing and selling their house when the news hit. She's an OBGYN and he just got his masters at UT in soil science. He's also a wounded vet. They're in a tough spot right now and need prayers.
hate this , sending prayers

Like Doncic? He seems to be adapting with less physical gifts than Bird. Larry doesn’t get legally clotheslined by Michael Cooper, Rick Mahorn types he doesn’t have to respond in kind…adds to stats. There’s a reason old schoolesque talents like Jocic are thriving in this era.

Doing what you can get away with has always been a thing.
