I hear ya. And don’t take my short comments offensively. A lot of times I am posting real fast and then running to play with a baby or three year old. Probably why half of my comments are hard to read from all of the misspelled words. I just want to win again. So if JH is the hire, my gosh let’s pray he wins.

Had to step away (100 pages back). Something akin to a calm was settling in then as a media member or two was finally admitting they had nothing. Hope was being found as more realized DW was apparently good at this coach search thing.

Now, during my absence, AP posted a “scoop”, and all has come crashing down again, correct? I suppose multiple outlets have reported hearing its JH as well? (Which makes sense as they often serve as each other’s confirmation and most regurgitate whatever one is saying). And, panic has set in again?

He checks every box they said they were looking for. Defense is certainly a concern but we weren't great on Defense with a defensive specialist so may as well try to score. With our talent at qb and wr it should be really fun to watch at the very least.

Can’t come out and say you want another job when you’re employed at another SEC school. Kiffin still talks to people in Knoxville and some VFLs. He would come back if we truly went after him. But he burned some bridges so that will never happen.

I’m obviously in heavy denial but:

None of this adds up. Why are local guys only ones talking?
Why do we expect a leak now when we haven’t had one yet?
Not sure if a player meeting has happened, but wouldn’t we see some chatter from them?
wouldnt UCF staff/media be talking more?

If you believe AV (I choose to), he said look to Chris Low or Feldman to break the news. Maybe they do tomorrow but they haven’t said anything yet.

AV said things take awhile to work out when you are dealing with a hire of this magnitude. I assume that is to mean large sums of money, buyout clauses, NCAA stuff, staffing, etc.

I’m just not convinced until I see the man behind the podium.

I just can’t fathom how a guy with DW’s resume and cache has been so off the mark with this hire. I mean, we should have never even entertained Sonny Dykes, no matter what shape the program was in.

Franklin? I mean he’s a good coach, but that’s your 8 mil, go for broke, moon shot? Even if he had said yes, would have been a very polarizing hire.
Maybe DW is 2 steps ahead of you...no, check that. 10 steps ahead of you.
Heupel? That’s not even the best choice out of your previous hires!

The only thing that makes sense is TE. I think he would be risky, but that guy at least gives you a chance.

Maybe we’ll wake up tomorrow to better news. Just so disappointed.

I honestly love the way our offense translates to his scheme. I think we will see a big leap in OL play. Really hope we switch to a 4 man front.

If it’s JH, not ready to like or dislike quite yet but UCF has the largest undergrad in country. Atlantic not close and had no program to speak of when Lane came to town. Frost built UCF for JC. Lane was also was competitive his 1st at OM. Not sure he is better than Lane.
