One interesting thing about if Kiffin were the hire. They wouldn’t have to fire Chaney. Kiffin brought Chaney to UT last time. Kiffin, Chaney, Steele, Garner, Graham...that would be a nice staff. ‘22 instate class would all sign with UT. We’d be back in 2 years.

USC got 4 years probation, 2 year bowl ban, and 30 scholarship reduction over 3 years for something that involved football and basketball. Unless there’s more that I haven’t heard about, I’d expect the NCAA to hand us 2 year bowl ban and like 15 over 3 year reduction couple years probation probably too.

The NCAA is powerless against big schools, look at the basketball scandal ( unc ) or the other basketball scandal ( Kansas, lsu, zona, barn ) or the worst scandal in sports history Penn State. They can't do sh!t as long as Tennessee stands it's ground.

That sounds about right. Maybe a 1 year ban and 10 over 2 years since we complied and did a lot of the work for them

Why would UT be interested in a NFL OC (Eric Bieniemy) that doesn't even call the plays for his offense? That is #1 reason he hasn't landed a NFL job. #2 reason is poor interviews.

Well, first of all I don’t think he’ll be hired. It’s just fun to think about. But if he were you’d have to get him to sign a big buyout clause to stop that from happening.

I’m sorry but who really gives a rat’s ass about how the national media and other people view our university. That’s the ONLY possible reason you tell yourself not to go after Kiffin.

We’re already a mess so I say let’s get a little messier if it means hiring Kiffin. Low said of himself, no one with a big name is going to want this job because of the sanctions....except Kiffin. If he’s willing to come here then just get it done already.

It might be a failure in the end, but at LEAST we would have some fun. Something we haven’t done in a decade.

Still have my Kiffin led coaching staff framed print on the wall in the spare bedroom. Good times. Would love to hang a revised one with the staff you just listed.

The admin is aware that the critical 2022 in-state class depends on UT having a coach in place...and not an interim. You basically throw away your recruiting class if you do that, and the 2022 class is the absolute worst one to have that happen.

At this point admin is just cleaning up the mess that a snitch put on their desk. It’s like reading terms and conditions. Everyone too busy to read them but if someone points out a specific part of the terms then at that point you can’t knowingly ignore it. Someone put a list of everything on their desk because they were tired of Fulmer and Pruitt. They didn’t care about anything but getting rid of them. One of them even said that on this board what they were doing and everyone cheered with glee. Now we are facing severe penalties and we got idiots saying it’s a dream come true day. Facing down penalties and having Steele as my head coach is not a dream come true.
