Plowman said someone came to her with credible information of recruiting violations in the football program. Do you think that would happen at Bama

Hire the right guy (Herman or Freeze) and give them time. Forget next year. It’s going to be a disaster. Maybe the next year, too. But it will let them build relationships with boosters, coaches, and recruits.

Be transparent. This is about to suck. But pay someone who has won, and let them come in and fix it. Nothing will be over night. Herman went 32-18 at Texas. 8 wins a year. I’d bet a lot of us would take that considering where we are today.

I may be way off, and some may disagree, but JMO. I also want an offensive-mindset HC. Gumps-UF was 52-46. Gone are the days of consistently winning 17-13, 21-17 games. Especially at the championship level.

Herman’s record at Texas is misleading. Other than his 1st year, he had equal or better talent in every game - yet he only made it to the big 12 title game once (and lost). Herman underachieves with all the talent and resources given to him, why on earth do we want that here?

Also, his offense is frustrating af and so predictable. He’s no offensive guru like some of y’all make him out to be. Watch his games against Oklahoma, Oklahoma state, tcu, Iowa state. It’ll make ya pull your hair out.

I will say one thing we've got going for us with this search we didn't with the Pruitt one.

1. a few big name hires are unemployed right now (Gus, Herman, NFL names, etc.)
2. a few hot name hires are making peanuts at smaller schools (Freeze, Napier, Chadwell, etc.)
3. one free transfer rule, will we lose guys...probably but most will have to eat humble pie to go somewhere lesser. SEC is going to road block potential in conference freebies but a smaller school hire may be able to fill gaps from his former team
4. our admin to their credit has stayed ahead of the crazy that happened last time, they waited until all things had ran the course before announcing anything and when they did it was fast. what little the media had before was speculation at best

Since Pruitt was fired for cause, I believe the players who transfer in conference, can appeal to the NCAA and SEC for immediate eligibility

If Pruitt beat Florida and won 8-9 games this year we would hear nothing about these violations here either. It happens everywhere, this was a power move to get the program right while taking a hit to do it.
