Because covering isn’t their PRIMARY job and some guys now just simply can’t be covered too.

Jayon brown is a good example of a coverage LB for the Titans.

Boy I wouldn’t be using anyone from the titans as an example of anything good but you just made my point. Brown was a good solid LB before getting hurt but gets beat routinely in pass coverage

and even to further my point the vibe last year was much better than this year regarding him. Due to pass rush

I think the opposite of your disagreement is true too and i think even more reckless and irresponsible. We have three years of tangible data both on the field and off the field that Pruitt is a complete failure.

Yet if a coaching candidate’s resume doesn’t check a certain amount of boxes you would rather just keep Pruitt.

i am saying, what's the difference in getting rid of google coach 4 to replace him with google coach 5? the results will be virtually the same, especially for the next year or two.

and we'll watch some key guys transfer out. we'll watch that 22 classs fall flat. and we'll be doing this again....again.

i mean, if what is going on right now is hwat you want out of your football program, by all means, go ahead.

but you could have fired pruitt the day after the vandy game and no one would have blinked. what they're doing now, and where they've let this get to from a perception standpoint is just plain irresponsible.

what you're suggesting is simply doing the same thing we've always done, and just hoping it gets better. cause....well....it never has.....

Honestly, what the UTAD is currently doing should NOT surprise anyone who has followed this ~15 year train wreck.

Hell, I would have been shocked if they made a graceful coaching transition.

Butch had playoff caliber teams. I would much rather try to see if another “mc google” can pull that off. Hopefully one that isn’t thin skinned this time

I think we need to get more linebackers like those two. Both are very good at coverage but are also small for linebackers (6'0" and 5'11"). Harder for big guys like Crouch and Banks to move sideline to sideline imo.

Agreed. Imo another good idea is converting safties and playing them in the box. I spent half the year hoping we would do that with McDonald
