well, if we did those things, we wouldn't be going thru any of this at all.
point being it's the sum of the parts. AP isn't saying it's all fans/social media. he's saying it's not helping because that's all players/coaches/recruits can actually see, so that's the perception they get.
some will sift thru the BS and call it for what it is. others won't. but at the end of the day if you're putting your career as a coach or your career as a player on the line, are you choosing the current perception of TN or program b,c,d,e on your list?
it's not an all or nothing proposition regarding fans and their level of blame for the current situation. it's not the fans' fault. fans didn't put up the results.
it is fans' fault when they take to social media and start trashing all things UT, and start tweeting coaches/players/recruits/parents. be mad, fine. but good grief. some of the stuff that's going on out there is actually ridiculous. there are folks out there actually suggesting Salter should go someplace else, "cause, UT"..........it's just dumb.
and you also have to consider that there are other programs posting crap posing as UT fans to perpetuate this perception.....that happens and is happening.
