I don’t think we’re talking about the same Pete Carroll. I’m talking about the one that coached at USC in the early to mid 2000s.
Seriously? Yes...he's with the Seattle Seahawks now. Been there ever since he left USC. Won a Super Bowl there, should have won another, made the playoffs a bunch of times.

I think Neal Brown would be a good fit for UT. He has SEC experience. Some of you know, I live in NE Arkansas and I follow AState football and SunBelt football (Vols first). Brown’s Troy teams were the most impressive teams I have watched in person outside of UT games. His teams were always disciplined. When playing AState they were more physically imposing than all other teams. They were fundamentally solid. What we have seen for the last three years has not been fundamentally solid.

I’d take him over Napier or Chadwell.

WV was a trash fire when he took over. I think they are 5-4 right now.
Trash fire? The last 3 seasons they had under Holgorsen were 10-3, 7-6, 8-4. Finished #20 in the country in 2018 and were #6 in the country at one point, but ran him off anyway.

I just stated the facts of the situation. There are many ways to source money-- and all come with strings or obligations. If you don't have the money in reserve to fund something, you have to raise it, borrow it or have it gifted. Technically, I guess you could steal it, but let's go with the other three.
Just borrow the dang money. Should get a very low interest rate with no strings attached.

Paying a bit of interest would be WELL worth it to do what we want with it.
