Wanting Chadwell to be our head coach is like wanting a 2 star recruit from Bearden because he grew up a Vols fan and is from Tennessee.

Honestly I don't know much about either. Some have said Chadwell hasn't done much outside of this year. I'm not that picky. Give me Freeze, but if not, a guy with experience that brings hope to the program

I think winning 11 games at Minnesota is harder than making the playoffs here.

At programs like Minnesota there’s not really a long future plan for coaches. Once you find a little something special you have to go all in for one year. Because winning 11 games that one year is probably the best Minnesota will do for the next 20 years.

Watching kids take exams. Bored. Trying to put together a list of possible HC candidates. I think most, if not all of these would be an upgrade. NOT all of these are SEC championship level, but again you never know.
Freeze--Consensus #1 Draft Pick. Past baggage may be an issue for the suits
Campbell--Probably higher than Freeze but seems to want a Big 10/NFL gig
Herman--Offensive mind. Seems to have arrogance issues. May not want to go that way.
Sarkisian--Past issues. Offensive mind. May be in line to replace Satan.
Kiffin--Burned a lot of bridges. Think he is not the same guy he was 10 years ago.
Chadwell--High risk/high reward type of hire. Very innovative on O
Napier--To me best of the up and comers. Can he win in the SEC?
Marrone--Wake me up when it's over
Weinke--Just to piss off Bass
Fleck--Reminds me too much of Butch. Not a fan of all the cliche's
Healy--May be too big of a jump.
Elliott--Interesting long shot, but no HC experience.
Fickell--Probably already has a Michigan tie ready for the press conference.

IDT the culture will take years to change. But we are years behind the talent of our rivals. The top teams are simply at another level. Teams traditionally below UT have closed the gap with us with less talent, while we haven't closed it with the teams above us. We're the middle of a crap sandwich.

UT does less with more while hungrier teams do more with less. And UT gets less out of our investments in staff and resources-- which are considerable-- than other teams who spend less. UT football does not make the most of what we have anywhere and that shows up on the field every Saturday.

I’d say the chances of Freeze are lower than 10% if we’re being honest with ourselves

The list should be Freeze, Bill O'Brien, or Campbell. If we can't get anyone of that level let's see how bad things really get here. Its better than hiring someone we know that we will fire in another 3 years.

Been here a long time, I know none of those guys would even pick up the phone. So I don't need to be educated on that, Hugh Freeze wants the Tennessee job and I know that as a FACT. Whether Tennessee has the balls to do it is a different story.

I find the love for Chadwell to be very curious because many here also claim to not want a "prove it" coach this time. Chadwell might be a good coach, but he's the epitome of a prove it coach. Even more so than Butch was.

If Chadwell wasn't from East Tennessee, or if he was 10-0 at a G5 school on the west coast, nobody here would have ever heard of him.

Their DC is a candidate at South Carolina. They are 22nd in total D.

Yes. I would rather continue down this path. It's not working, but maybe they will see how awful things get and be forced to get the money right to make a real hire.
