Darrell Jackson was processed. Only one that we didn’t want that’s decommitted though. We never wanted JacksonSeems like there's a spin on just about every decommit. That's not good nor realistic.
For Lewis it was statements about character, Wolfe is his health, Darrell Jackson is just a processed player.
McGhee seems to be the only decommit that's not been spun.
Bryan Harsin - WikipediaI’ve seen his name brought up several times...on this board and the one I waste money on. Waste of a good tire kick imo.
He is if you're a Clemson fan.Is Dabo that likable?
That would be a good coaching staff, but not sure if serious.I’m at the point of even letting Fulmer take over the duties for a year just to not have Pruitt.
HC: Fulmer
OC: Cutcliffe (please fire him Duke!)
DC: Mason
Keep the offensive staff, but fire Weinke and Friend. Bring in a new o line coach. And hire some new defensive coaches like Thompson, Chavis, Davis, etc.
Then figure out a plan for 2022.
It's like people saying they don't want a coach because he's arrogant. No one's more arrogant than Nick Saban, well, maybe Bill Belichick, but no one would say no if Saban wanted to come be our coach. He is if you're a Clemson fan.
Personally he's always come off as phonier than a $3 dollar bill to me. Kind of like Freeze with the phony-sounding, in-your-face religiosity. That seems to work with a lot of people in this part of the country. But they sure as hell can both coach.
Wilcox would do well, but I think he is a west coast guyOne name I haven't been seeing that I'd like to throw out is Justin Wilcox at Cal. Most people remember he was Dooley's DC the first two years when we had a decent defense, which then collapsed when he left after the 2011 season. He went on to DC jobs at Washington, USC, and Wisconsin, before getting the HC job at Cal. His record got better in his first three years (5-7, 7-6, and 8-5), but this year has been under the draconian Covid restrictions imposed by the San Francisco Bay area governments, such that the first time he has really had his full complement of players was last weekend when they knocked off Oregon.
I don't know if he has any interest in leaving the Pac-12, or how he views his time in Knoxville, but we could definitely give him a bump in pay and resources. We'd be getting a guy who has performed credibly well at a lower tier P5 program, knows what the expectations are here, and has recruited the area before. He currently has the 18th ranked recruiting class in the country, which is frankly amazing for Cal. We'd definitely want to help him out with a good OC, but he just seems like a really solid coach. He wouldn't be at the top of my list, but if I'm Fulmer, I'm definitely having a conversation with him to kick the tires.
I have heard that Cutcliffe is most likely retiring at end of season.I’m at the point of even letting Fulmer take over the duties for a year just to not have Pruitt.

I was surprised his name didn't come up more during the search to replace Butch. At the time, he had just a couple good years at Troy with the highlight being a win at LSU.I think Neal Brown would be a good fit for UT. He has SEC experience. Some of you know, I live in NE Arkansas and I follow AState football and SunBelt football (Vols first). Brown’s Troy teams were the most impressive teams I have watched in person outside of UT games. His teams were always disciplined. When playing AState they were more physically imposing than all other teams. They were fundamentally solid. What we have seen for the last three years has not been fundamentally solid.
Haven’t really followed his teams in Morgantown. Have they stood out from a coaching standpoint?I think Neal Brown would be a good fit for UT. He has SEC experience.
