Silly.... if he goes 2-8 that’s terrible 3-7 even. Next year will be no better. The team looks it’s quit. We have some young talent that gets wasted. We don’t have one edge rusher on the team. We won’t be any better next year we will just get the benefit of actually playing 3 cupcakes ooc. We have regressed and there is nobody on that DL that’s going to make things better as far as getting sacks.

I'm convinced Fulmer and the boosters in his camp just sit around smoking cigars and talking about the good ol' days of the 90s. Fulmer probably secretly enjoys being the last truly successful coach here. Makes him feel important 12+ years later.

Muschamp’s buyout is 13mil. Gus’ is 20mil and change. UT definitely makes more than SC when football is half ass. On par with Auburn at min. If they go after Freeze with COVID finances and we don’t, it’s simply bc they want to win more than we do. Absolutely no other way to slice it. We could make up the money as quick if not quicker than both of them could.

Can someone clue the rest of us in on what BobVols has said?

He may have a hard time keeping this class together when the current roster isn’t happy. Locker room situation is not good

Players have lost faith in some of the coaches because the coaches lost faith in the players. When you coach the way this staff has the last several weeks and you don’t put them in a position to try to win you lose them. He has lost the locker room. It’s pretty divided right now. I don’t care how Pruitt spins it or the players that talk to the media spin it. This locker room is in disarray. Some players have already taken it to Twitter.

It’s all been deleted now. It was all there late last night and early this morning.

That’s a tough question. I don’t know where Tennessee is on any of this. I think if enough players requested a transfer and this current class started falling apart it would raise more concern. The problem is money right now. Only way there is a change is if a donor gets involved and the only donor that would make the move is currently not involved because of Fulmer. Fulmer is attached to Pruitt’s success. I don’t think a decision is coming anytime soon. The season will have to play out unless we lose to Vandy and it could get ugly quick. I don’t think Pruitt is going to survive this. Does he make through this year or does it happen in 2021?

Players don’t feel like there’s any belief in them. A lot of divide. The players know who the best players are and who should be playing and who shouldn’t. Goes back to some of that stubbornness I talked about.
A donor would have to front the money if Pruitt were to be let go. University doesn’t have the money to pay his and the staffs buyout.

I think it’s too late for that and it’s more than that. He wants to fix it but is stubborn. He is in over his head right now. It started with his staff and has now made its way to the locker room.

Need an AD first. Fulmer isn’t making this move. Another reason I think he may get another season. Too early to say for now but it’s coming at some point. Pruitt is not going to survive here whether it’s this year or next.

Yes and that’s part of the reason Sham didn’t make the trip. He was mad that KL got most the reps. His attitude was terrible so he got out in the doghouse and then out of no where they start TJ. Makes no sense.

I’ll add this and be done...
It’s not impossible to regain the locker room. He did last season but like another poster said, Pruitt is going to have to rally the troops. He needs to be more transparent and show some emotion through the week. He has got to show some belief in these guys. He has to start by getting his staff on the same page. The rest of this season has to show improvement and hope. I think he has to roll with Bailey the rest of the way and some youth. Not a wholesale but something, anything to get guys going. I don’t have much optimism because of the state of where things are but if he can somehow pull an upset against TAMU, Auburn or Florida and be extremely competitive then there will be hope. If he goes 4-6 and is competitive then I think there’s a chance he can right the ship. He did it last year. Can he do it again?

Hugh Freeze wants this job. He’d turn us around in no time with the young talent we have. This is a no brainer! I’m going to be sick if he goes to USCjr. They will immediate leap frog us beat us every year.
I'm sure Hugh wants any job in the SEC outside of Vandy. So much has to happen for this pipe dream though. Including talking about firing Pruitt on this board for 4 more weeks.

In a year where the university has lost 40 million in revenue people want the coach fired.

Sorry to be the wet blanket of the bunch but it ain’t happening. The sooner y’all accept that the less you’ll be disappointed when he runs the team out on the field next fall.
You don’t think we will lose $2.5 million in ticket sales and donations by keeping him next year? That is roughly what we would owe him next year (paid over five years). I think we lose way more by keeping him.

We could lose every game the rest of this season. Pruitt will remain coach. He will be judged next year. Fulmer tends to be more conservative in my opinion to hang onto coaches, makes me think that Pruitt will coach out his remaining 2 years.
And we will realize we waited a year to late as usual and push ourselves further down in the East.

It's not Chaney. He was a good coordinator here under BOTH Kiffin and Dooley but Kiffin and Dooley believed in offense.
In those 4 years we only averaged scoring in the 30s 1 year (2012). That was ok maybe 10 or 15 years ago, but as of last year half of all CFB teams average over 30 PPG.

And 2012 had an abundance of offensive talent and elite OL. Chaney is fine (who wouldn't be?) with tons of talent. But we can't wait on exceptional talent every 4 years. We need someone that can produce with less imo.

So, people want the young guys to play because they are better....KL gets more reps than Shamburger....Shamburger blows up and has to be disciplined.

Not good. But it's walking that fine line.

So, we are gonna miss out on Freeze because getting the money would require booster begging, and for that to happen Fulmer would have to admit he was wrong. So yeah...Pruitt is here through 2021 and Freeze will beat our brains in annually.
Yep and he will shred us year in and year out and then out recruit us. He’s the only fix to this and he’s there for the taking. I seriously will resent this university if they let him go to South Carolina. Would rather him go to auburn to be honest.

Not sure I buy this because Fulmer basically confirmed the rumors about him possibly taking over when we were in the hole last year were true.
Yep! Had a VFL in Fulmers box for the BYU game, he was on the fence on letting him go. Luckily we turned it around.
