Another huge factor is the NCAA one time transfer rule that's expected to pass after the first of the year. If the Vols go 3-7 or worse ID expect a decent amount of transfers.
Yep. It’s the perfect storm to make a change. If we have a terrible end, which we are, many are going to leave. And recruiting will take a big hit because they know Pruitt will be on the hot seat. You might as well make the change now and get the guy that you know can win in the SEC. It’s so simple yet we won’t do it.

Everyone we all need to settle down, you see we haven't seen the master plan unfold yet. The Gump is going to get 2 more years. Next year he will go 7-5 and then the following year he will go lower than Butch level of ineptitude and have a 2-10 season. Then he will be fired. Then and only then will Fulmer make his move. Dale Jones will be the HC, Randy Sanders will be the OC, and Chavis will be the DC. This will be the staff that puts the Vols over the top with an 0-12 season then to finish the program off. The chancellor or president will announce that Tn will be suspending its football program until further notice. 10 years later we will return as an FCS team.

Not sure on that. All I know is that if Muschamp loses to Ole miss he will be fired immediately after that game. May happen anyway
It must be nice to have a program that cares about winning. Especially one with a history of not even winning.

If it's -12 I'm betting all the houses and your farm

This is why I don’t think being a HC is hard. Hire awesome coordinators and sit back and solve problems.

If you are too stubborn and have to do it your way then your ego will prevent you from ever getting better and evolving.

Barnes hires guys that he knows make him look good & will be hired away to bigger opportunities. He says that’s what he wants too.

Starting to question if Pruitt is willing to hire those types of guys.

Yea I get that but perhaps there is middle ground. You never know with a guy that still remembers what making peanuts feels like. I’m betting those days were more enjoyable for him than now is

There is no doubt that a comfortable life is part of the equation. Even coaches don’t like dealing with criticism because it can effect their families. But I just don’t see Pruitt leaving on his own unless we just negotiate a lump sum to give him an incentive.

In the same breath, the majority of good players are Pruitt recruits. Fire him, and they make use of that transfer rule as well. It's a double-edged sword. We're easily damned if we do and damned if we don't.
