For everyone who thought we, or anyone, is going to get favorable calls against Bama, where have you been? Bama is the cash cow for the conference and the SEC is not gonna let anything mess that up. Money is the root of all evil and there's big money to be had by having Bama in the National Championship hunt. That's just my opinion but I don't think I'm very far off in my thinking.

Tua had the same thing at the end of last season. Had his ankle scoped and was out a couple of weeks. We'll have Tua Watch every day, with video and much ESPN analysis of his progress, with daily ratings on the ESPN Hobble Scale.

So true. ESPN correspondents smoking cigars proves the bias.

Pruitt doesn’t really have a choice but to play BM next week.
If Pruitt and our medical staff allow BM to play next week, it will not be a good look for Tennessee. You're talking about a potential serious situation if he get another concussion this soon after the first two. I hope our staff is smarter that that. I know some of you want to win at all cost but I don't share that sentiment. We're better than that.

Smh

Really wish Bama had to play LSU this week or next week. Still think LSU beats them even if Tua gets healthy.

Probably going to be LSU vs UF in the SECC with Bama getting the 4th spot in the playoffs unless OSU goes undefeated. Clemson probably is the 5th or 6th best team in the country but USCe is probably the only team left on their schedule that can beat them.

LSU wins the title this year.

Maurer deserved a helluva lot better than getting completely ignored while we received constant updates on whether or not Tua might need to pee and how the Bama community felt about it.

ESPN should have to meet Brian's parents and explain why 1 kid is more important than the other.
The live tunnel shots when nothing was happening in the tunnel were stupid

I really hope those that can show up next week and cheer their collective asses off for this team. Those boys played their asses off and that’s all we’ve been asking. (Not even going to bring up JG...it’s all been said). Finish this season on a big positive.

Go Vols!

Brian Maurer hasn't had three concussions. If he is medically cleared to play, he'll play. UT is medically conservative... unlike Bama, whose coaches sent Jeudy right back in the game. They had to put his helmet on him, fasten the chin strap and nudge him in the direction of the field, but off he went.

One time the named two numbers THAT WERE NOT ON THE FIELD !!

Another time, they called us for 12 men on the field when we had 11 BUT WAS RUNNING ONE OFF THE FIELD (?) !!
2nd call was right. We had 12 line up in formation and realized we had 12 and one ran off. Since he was in formation it was a penalty

And no one even cared, unbelievable

The word is already out on the reason Pruitt list his mind and why that play was so epically failed.

No choice for the coaches to take the high road. And no choice imo but to go with Maurer and shrout.

Either way actions speak louder than words so you really don't need to pile on by verbalizing anything.

It's a bit of a tough spot... But everybody knows what's up....
Exactly.

The situation, play and result summed up Pruitt's frustration with a RS Jr QB who should be better than he is. After he released his frustration on the play which I had no problem with, he handled it properly in front of the mic. If that was the offical end of JGs time on the field, theres no need in making that a story or distraction going forward. Let it go, let him go, and move on to SC.

Look it was pretty clear by watching the replay he wasn’t hit hard.

I think when he took his own helmet off the training staff had no choice but to pull him since he hadn’t finished the previous two games

JMO
The absolutely can run him through the protocol and say all is well if that is the case

I think BM's issue is a neck thing. Secondly I think he couldve played but Pruitt and UT took the conservative route this week and last week for 2 reasons.
1. First and Foremost BM health and future are more inportant than a win. Who cares if we beat Bama last night if BM cant walk next week.
2. Its still Bama. Save BM for the games that are a toss up and you have a better shot to win

Jeudy's arms went MMA straight when he was on the turf.

IMO, the only way JG is done is if he just checks out and doesn't put forth effort in practice. Otherwise, it is what it is. The coaches don't trust him, the team doesn't seem to rally wholeheartedly behind him but sometimes, like vs. MSU, everybody finds a way to come together and grind out a W.

We're a much stronger, more confident team with Maurer. We need him to keep that edge, but manage his health. And still things happen. Like yesterday.

Is Maurer in a position where we are having to closely monitor him due to so many head injuries? Genuinely worried about his future.

The rest of the season is in his hands.
