This is AI so it may be wrong. Couldn’t find a way to search downloaded NCAA rules on my phone. But it looks like the “no hitter” was a gift of incorrect officiating (deliberate or incompetent) and so unearned. Difficult to imagine the review booth doesn’t know the rule that to overturn a call requires indisputable evidence. Which suggests…No asterisk. It (likely) didn’t affect the no-hitter.
There was a batter that got hit in the elbow and was given first base by the home plate ump. Arky challenges, and it was admittedly a very close call as to whether the batter moved his elbow into the ball. But it was miles away from “indisputable.”
The call got overturned anyway.

So you’re saying the AI is wrong. That doesn’t surprise me.It’s a no hitter vs a perfect game.
I think they said there has never been a perfect game in the cws. This was the 3rd no hitter.
He hit a batter. There was no dispute.
The dispute was on the second hit by pitch. And the overturn that it was purposeful, was absolute bollsheet and of no consequence to his perfect game/no hitter. Had it been the only hit by pitch, the overturn would have been understandable to maintain the first perfect game.
You don’t think 54 appearances (33 in ‘25) over the last 2 seasons is time enough to shine? He pitched in 39% of games in that timespan.
Now if he wants to be a starter, I get that.
Also thought he shined plenty. Was a good arm out of the pen.
Lbs problem is talentHow is LB going to get better next season other than just another year under their belts? Once Pili was out, we struggled to contain and no LB was generally successful at pass coverage on the TE... many times our LB's looked lost and a decisive step behind the speed of the game.
I mean the guy won a Sec and a national championship…..This was Martin's performance against the 5 ranked teams Tennessee played in the 1998 regular season:
Syracuse: 9/26, 143 yards, 2TDs/0INTs
Florida: 7/20, 64 yards, 1TDs/1INT
Georgia: 16/26, 156 yards, 2TDs/2INTs
Arkansas: 10/27, 155 yards, 1TD/1INT
Miss State: 15/32, 208 yards, 2TDs/1INT
Totals: 57/131 (43.5%), 726 yards (145 per game), 8 TDs/5 INTs.
That's horrible. Not average. Not mediocre. Horrible. Abysmal.

His number dont really mean **** in the grand scheme of it
