And Joey clearly knew where he stood once Nico arrived...So you're saying Heupel would have gladly traded Nico away for Joey even if Nico didn't want to go? No way.
Sorry, but what does this mean?I'll just say it out loud, I think Nico was an overrated/hyped bust.
He's the 2nd QB Heupel has fallen in love with the measurables over the production. It happens, hopefully moving forward we see a better ability to develop these types or a willingness to evaluate them more critically.

He should have played...Gaston or Merk over Nico?
He was still 7th out of 16 SEC QBs...as a 1st year starter. He also outlived and outplayed about every one of the other top-10 QB prospects from his same class lol. Manning still has an opportunity, but he hasn't done anything yet either.
I don't get what Heupel was supposed to do differently.
I don’t disagree at all. It was easy to fall in love with him in high school but it didn’t translateI'll just say it out loud, I think Nico was an overrated/hyped bust.

That can be fixed. . .Full disclosure, my truck doesn’t have manual locking hubs.

I thought he was gonna be a superstar til we hit conference play. . .Yeah, and he may end up being a great QB...still young and still time
but he's not a Vol and we invested 2+ years and multi-millions of dollars to get middle of the road production in the SEC. So he was a bust for Tennessee at least.

All though true, he had his reasons and 1 was because he didn't want to be flashy. So the joke's on you, Larry Bird drove a Ford because he didn't want to show off and you can't get any lower than a 85 ford Escort.Larry Bird is a Ford man.

Bird was so much cooler than MJ too.
