Prayers to all dealing with that. I partially wish my mom would try knee replacement. She has been bone on bone for decades and it has messed her hip and back up too. Hard to convince the stubborn, but i love her fight either way.I have hear this same thing over and over. Very routine and pretty rapid recovery.
Bill Belichick will not put up with the antics. If Nico wants to go Pro then UNC with Belichick is a good choice but like I said Belichick is a no nonsense person.if Nico ends up at UNC then Nico/dad saved face for now from a PR move
No one in/around the program will question Bill
He is still insanely respected in the NFL and still has a ton of connections
for how this whole thing blew up in the family's face, they have mitigated total disaster if they end up at UNC
it doesn't save Nico, he will still have to be perfect on and off the field, but it has stopped a ton of doors from closing completely
Well, I have put this off and put this off because I kept thinking I am just too young. However, when taking a leisurely walk around the neighborhood with the Mrs. leaves me in deep aching pain it is defiantly time to act. Not sure what purthes disease is, but prayers that you are living life to the absolute fullest.I had leg purthes disease as a kid. It increases the likelihood of having to have hip replacement surgery. So far I have been able to avoid it.for a quick recovery.
Well stubborn I am, but I am trying to get out of my own way more often. Stubborn will get you so far before it begins to be folly. In the words of the great Kenny Rodgers. You have to know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em.Prayers to all dealing with that. I partially wish my mom would try knee replacement. She has been bone on bone for decades and it has messed her hip and back up too. Hard to convince the stubborn, but i love her fight either way.
I usually agree with you on most things. I only partially agree here. Bill took a major hit in the NFL. Nico took a major hit at both levels. Did they maybe both stave off total irrelevance by cozying up together - sure. Did they salvage their damaged images to this point? Hell no.
Jmo imo

I can see the chance it could. But you also partnered 2 guys people love to hate. Could end up being can't look away TV. IMO and make them look worse in some ways.Believe me, I am NOT a BB fan, and definitely not a Nico fan anymore
and there's nothing I love more than a good old fashioned comeuppance
but this has delayed their fate, at least for a little while
Ramon Foster was talking about him this morning and he thinks GMac is the real deal and would have been a 5 star if he had camped more.Does anyone kmow what George's high-school senior stars were. Why did the recruiting services knock his ratings down?
From the tape I watched from the O&W game I thought he looked really smooth. To me, he performed head and shoulders above Merklinger. He seems to process the game really well and has a quick release. Also showed very good pocket awareness.
i didn't really follow his recruitment, but I also didn't think there would be a battle for the starting QB position this season. But here we are and now I think this guy is most likely to be our starter..Curious as to what everyone's thoughts are on this possibility?
I have no insight into this....So, they are going to pay Nico what he was asking for? Seriously?
It is not unusual for a young quarterback to struggle with reads and progressions and Nico did that last season. It may have rectified itself this season, who knows, but a lackluster Spring may have "forced" dad to pull the stunt.I’m not worried about it. Kid never actually knew the offense anyways why the heck does everyone think we went so slow.
Nico never had it in between the ears.
This ^^^^ at the end of the day his life is his responsibility, but at 20 years old he hasn’t figured out just how toxic and abnormal the behavior of his dad is. He will either learn from this and be better or continue in the same behavior/environment and dad will always make things more difficult for Nico than they should be. Besides being overbearing (massive understatement), evidently dad doesn’t have good common sense or a rational thought process.I was thinking last night, I actually feel kind of bad for Nico in all of this. He bears his own responsibility and isn't without guilt, for sure, but at the same time, your family's ways are normal to you, even if they aren't normal. He's starting probably the first season of realizing that there has to be a different way than the toxic control, lies and manipulation that he's been presented as 'normal'. And it's a hard/expensive way to learn.
You have to hate seeing so much promise getting flushed.
Fair - like Kiffen landing with Saban.I have no insight into this....
my speculation is that he is not going to get 4M from anyone, and now Nico/fam is in a tight spot, with the whole carton of eggs heading straight for their face
luckily for them, UNC and BB need a QB
so, Nico side takes the same or less than what they would have gotten here, but they save face by getting with BB
door still open to have a good season and represent himself well. if so, he will have the same NFL opportunities that he would have had before this whole situation blew up in their face
he would have been best to just stay put here and excel in the system he was poised to soar in
unfortunately they gambled poorly and were nosediving towards absolute failure
I think the message from UNC/Bill is "I'm not paying you that but I'll give you a place to land, and if you play well, I will exhaust all of my resources and connections to make sure you go pro"
not the perfect scenario for either side at all, but a scenario that can work for both sides, given the other options for Nico continue to look less and less promising
