Just keep that warmed for tomorrow. We’re going to see it often.View attachment 624132
Reading the room here, I thought this might be appropriate........
Dude, you're completely and totally missing the entire point of my analogy. Go back and reread the conversation.Unless i am mistaken….. they don’t play in the Pinnacle center which is where the basketball teams play. They play in the Devaney sports center and averages a little over 8,000 fans….. Really good for women’s volleyball but a far cry from 93,000 which was a gimmick to set a world record…. They played Nebraska-Omaha so it wasn’t like they were playing good competition. College football teams struggle drawing that many fans against weak out of conference foes.

Well here's one more for good measure, everyone knows they don't have bammer basketball fans, they're all bammercats.
What? Did you not read what I said? Obviously SC already has a good coach so I bet their NIL is okay. But the point I was making that some are wanting to ignore while demanding just go get a great coach because of what TN WBB used to be, and they’re everywhere…is that NIL has changed things. To get that great coach you’re going to have to convince them that you’re going to have enough NIL available to get enough great players. From what LA said the AD is not convinced that is there at the moment. The focus is fighting the NCAA, building the 3 men’s programs and preparing for the future of college sports. They could hire another coach that might be a little better but prefer to wait until they can go all in on the program. What? You really think South Carolina’s NIL/collective for women’s basketball is any better than Tennessee’s? The reason we and 95% of other universities are not on their level is simple and it has nothing to do with money and everything to do with their coach
Lol not what LA said. But hope you’re right. That NIL $ may get stretched a little thin trying to get championships in the big 3 men’s sports. I’m sure there’s plenty to hire a coach though. We may be talking about 2 separate things. There's plenty enough to go around for us to buy a top notch women's basketball coach and still have plenty for football I assure you lol
Agree. Hate it also. Just think NIL has changed being able to hire the best coaches. From what LA said we don’t have it currently and WBB is not currently the focus. That’s not how it works soda. Go pay the best coach you can find, let them coach up the roster, start bringing in better players, then the money starts coming in when results are shown. The university has money. They have enough money to pay a WBB coach, without taking away from other sports. Nobody is gonna pony up money for NIL on the promise of “if we get enough money from the fans we will try to make the program better”.
It just isn’t important to them right now. It isn’t that im some huge WBB fan either, just really respect coach Summit and hate to see her legacy floundering.
Another trash article. Really stupid of me to click itI’m not sure how accurate this article is but this is what I was worried about when Goff started doing well with Detroit. Hooker is a good dude and deserves a chance. Just don’t know if Detroit is his team or if he’ll have to try to force his hand since he’s 26. Goff has 3 years left on his contract, I believe.
Ah, we’re talking about 2 different things. AD $ and NIL $. LA said different pots. AD$ is fine.Always football first, but it isn’t an either or thing. The athletic dept brought in over $200m last year. They can afford to do both. Plus, that’s a very very short sighted thought process. By NOT making the ladies bball program better now, the university is actually missing out on money it could be making. If the LVs break even there’s $3-4m more that can go into the football program instead of covering the LVs losses.
