They know this. They’re putting football first. Yay!

Always football first, but it isn’t an either or thing. The athletic dept brought in over $200m last year. They can afford to do both. Plus, that’s a very very short sighted thought process. By NOT making the ladies bball program better now, the university is actually missing out on money it could be making. If the LVs break even there’s $3-4m more that can go into the football program instead of covering the LVs losses.

That’s fair. If you’re a huge fan of the book, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t at least give it a chance.

I also saw an article from Variety where Frank Herbert’s son was quoted saying he felt the film was a faithful retelling and his family was very satisfied.

He butchered his own dad's work far more than DV could even if he tried, so that doesn't help haha.

I really struggle to enjoy a book adaptation if it strays from the book too much. And 90+% of the time, Hollywood thinks they can rewrite the story better than the original, international best selling author.

DV did great on the first one though, so I owe him a shot.

I’m not sure how accurate this article is but this is what I was worried about when Goff started doing well with Detroit. Hooker is a good dude and deserves a chance. Just don’t know if Detroit is his team or if he’ll have to try to force his hand since he’s 26. Goff has 3 years left on his contract, I believe.

I've seen ZZ pester way better PGs than KC into fits...people forget that basketball is played on both ends of the floor.

They also think just because someone looks more "athletic and fluid" means they are a better basketball player...and that is wrong.

Also...heart and grit counts for a lot in a PG...and ZZ has that in spades.

Exactly. The reason ZZZ played so much his freshman year is because he made Chandler's life miserable from the moment he stepped on campus. Now, ZZZ is even better. Would I love to have Kennedy on this Vols team, hell yes. But, I wouldn't trade him for this year's version of Zakai, if it was an either/or situation
