He is a priority, like I said, whether you agree or not isn't the point, the fact is he's one of Barnes main targets.

As for nothing special about him, he was over 20 D1 offers, and multiple SEC offers, along with being ranked the #168 best player in the country...most people would consider that something special.

So I'm guessing we're gonna put the full press on Blackwell/Key now that Jenkins is committed elsewhere. Will VolNation Meltdown if we only sign Fulkerson,Bone,Okogie,and G. Williams??

I hope not. That would be a good class with a possible addition in the spring.

If that's how it turns out I'd rather wait till the end and grab a graduate transfer with our 5th scholly instead of another freshman.

Yeah I think 4 freshman would be enough youth to build on. The grad transfers would be help us now instead of later. I'd only take 5 freshman if we got Blackwell or another top 100 player.

No, I don't think they're going to. I would actually expect them to start pursing Jalen Johnson much harder.

Couple things from Rob Lewis...

Has serious doubts that Bruner visits for Arkansas game, thinks it'll just be Fulkerson. Also has some doubts Blackwell actually makes it in this weekend, says he is below Fulkerson & Williams on this staffs board. Said he thinks Jalen Johnson will visit in October, at least as of now.

Now, where it gets dicey, Okogie will visit GT this weekend and then decide. Staff is confident and will be in to see him this week, but not a done deal. Grant Williams is torn between Yale & Tennessee, his mom works for NASA and academics are a huge part of his decision, but he's also very intrigued by the basketball opportunity at Tennessee.

Miss on those 2 and it's hard to see there being much optimism at all by anyone.

I couldn't be mad at Williams if he chooses Yale.A degree from Yale takes you places. Okogie surely won't choose GT. GT's coach is on the hot seat,4 straight seasons without reaching the post season.

Your memory sucks or better yet it's a selective memory just specialized for everything You.

My guess is that the damage of making Blackwell a backup plan has cost us any chance we had to get him so much he isn't going to show up or the staff realizes we need to save that OV Since it now appears we are going to need them desperately.


Does your selective memory recall you posting this staff only brings kids to campus if they were very very likely to commit?

Lets just start here, I ridiculed you for saying Bruner wouldn't visit? I truly don't recall that, if I said it please show me and I'll gladly admit I was wrong, but I honestly don't recall that as Bruner has never appeared a priority.
