We have a serious chance at goodin. And I mean, serious.

Did you get to speak to him like you said you were going to try an do?

This is what I took from that article:

I believe he still favors Louisville and wants them to start showing more interest in him, and will commit there if he CAN. It looks like Pitino has cooled off on Goodin, and not showing as much interest for what ever reason. It seems like Goodin may be Pitinos fall back option. Goodin seems to be aware that Pitino may be jerking him around and he doesn't like that.

It's also clear Goodin wants to be chased. He wants to feel the love. He wants to be a staffs #1 priority. He made all of that clear by stating it's basically going to come down to what ever university "blows up his phone the most".

I'm glad CDT is one of two coaches that has been blowing up his phone the most along with his assistants. Members of UT's staff was supposedly at his game tonight.

Reel him in coach!

I did get to speak to him, he loves our press, and he also thinks donnie is the right man for the job, we have just about as much a chance as anybody, imo, now that you bring that up, I did see a orange pullover behind the bench, thought it was the opposing fans, maybe it wasn't

I believe that article said we had a coach in attendance.

I didn't get to read the whole thing,I was on the lookout but only saw a dad and his kid wearing tennessee

Oh alright, maybe I'm wrong about UT having staff at his game then. I don't have time to re read the article, but if my life was on the line, I'd wager that I am correct in that we did have personal present at his game.

We did. Didn't say who though.

If you're Donnie and staff do you continue recruiting full strength knowing what may happen in a few months? The easy answer is yes but you have to think this is going to wear on them now.

Doesn't matter the coach that replaces Tyndall if he was to get relieved of the job will be able to use the same recruiting tatics

I don't agree. A lot of players, especially in this era, commit to the coach instead of the school. A lot of the guys on our team now were recruited to play for Donnie Tyndall, and it just so happened to be at Tennessee.

I don't believe he would consciously make the decision to slack off on his recruiting efforts. Like you said though, this is all going to wear on him, and that may affect his recruiting unknowingly.

Just read on GoVolsXtra that Tyndall is expecting 1 or 2 defections from the current roster.
Care to guess anyone?

Hmmmm... Mostella is a candidate just because of a lack of production and being a freshman. Other than that I have no idea. Can you link the article or copy/paste the verbage?

I hope not. I think he just needs time and he will be able to do more.

Reese couldn't ball at the YMCA. Usually I'm all about the "dirty work" type of players, but he's just not very good. Outside of Reese, there's not really anyone I would want to lose.

Maybe Punter or Baulkman, but I don't see either of those happening.

A couple of guys on twitter the other night were saying a player was seriously considering leaving for personal reasons . They wouldn't say who it was though .

I don't know why people keep bringing up Reese . He's a senior , and he will get plenty of playing time so why would he leave ? Mostella would be my guess . He seems lost on defense . Got barely any playing time on a short handed team . He is a freshmen though so he will improve . Only question is will it be in Knoxville

I would think you would want to keep the freshmen and work them hard over the summer both in physical conditioning and basketball skills. We have two scholarships to give if we get three guys have no idea who would leave, but you really want to keep the freshmen and especially Mostella a highly rated player that just went through a season like Hubbs did his freshmen season. I think he is a player that could develop into a great player. As much athletic ability as anyone on the team.
