Rawane Ndiaye Reportedly commits

Damn. I have seen so many great coaches on this site that I can't believe that UT AD had such a hard time recruiting a good bb coach. Maybe next time they will consult this site and choose one from it!

Go Big Orange!!

Might be a pretty boring site if noone was giving their opinions of the team. LOL

Not sure if serious, but yes at this point maybe they should. Have we even discussed how this cat was suspended for clocking someone? Or we still on the fact that we was BURIED ON THE BENCH OF A JUCO TEAM.

If this kid is the replacement for Stokes, its a wrap on The Conz. This guy is going to make Kenny Hall look like Kevin Garnett.

Hmm that's interesting...if Ndiaye is a replacement for Stokes and not Yemi, is there room for me on the fire Zo wagon?

I keep jumping on and off......every time I get back on it seems like the wagon keeps expanding so I think there should be plenty of room lol

I'm not on that wagon yet, but I'm definitely skeptical as to his success to the point of serious doubt. If he doesn't win big here next year, I don't see how he ever will. This type of recruit, which would be acceptable as a 13th man-type project if players 8-12 weren't also in the same basket, does not do him any favors.

Beginning of the season we were recruiting some bigs, when it was decided Maymon would redshirt we stopped recruiting them.

I will also say (and many won't like this, and I'm not saying this is good) remember this staff thought they had Nichols. They stopped recruiting the other bigs on their board at the time because they thought they had him. They lose Nichols, then Maymon decides to redshirt and they basically stopped recruiting bigs

I may not like it but I understand what you are talking about bleeding. Because I posted the fact that we lost the chance with other recruits because they were so sure right up till Nichols signed with Memphis . But coach Martin is going to have to lock good players up faster or tell them he is looking elsewhere cause UT is not able to wait till the second signing period to try and land good players like the tobacco road and the bluegrass teams.

Why in the hell does it matter who he is a replacement for?? Tenn deserves SEC caliber regardless of their expected roles

I sometimes scratch and wonder how close we were to getting JW3 instead of keeping all our eggs all in the Nichols basket. Could have been HUGE for CCM. Valuable lesson learned .... I hope.

This is exactly why you have to learn to slow play in the recruiting game. Cuonzo doesn't have a backup plan for the post because he doesn't give conditional offers apparently.

And you can't recruit kids all the way into spring and have a shot unless you offered them earlier. At least not decent prospects.

What is happening here is CCM got caught flat-footed when either Yemi decided to leave or Stokes bolted or both. Now we are too far behind in recruiting any decent big so you have to find these "hidden gems" that nobody is recruiting.

This kid may be much better than it appears but it won't change the fact that Cuonzo is a little behind in learning the ins and outs of big time recruiting.

Ok, so on a different thread where I was defending CCM, I said I didn't care about him visiting, its not like we were going to offer him a scholly.

I take it all back. I was completely wrong. WTF is CCM doing?

Exactly what some of us already saw at the beginning...I am really trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but its not looking good right now...This one make zero sense....Actually makes me a little nervous

I think everyone is overlooking the most important part of this whole deal we got going on here.....

And that is...how will poor Bob and Burt handle pronouncing his name???? His game can't be any uglier than the way we'll hear his name on the radio. Wait until Jerry from Bulls Gap calls in to ask questions about it (if Jerry is a basketball fan that is)

Kinda figuring that they won't have that opportunity too many times.

Seems like we are in the Danger zone!
