Last one I promise. My zoom would not go far enough, but there was a pack of wolves that were playing off to the right in a field. Watched them for over a hour with the Tetons in the background.

I have always had a sweet spot in my heart for the redwoods. If anyone is remotely in the ballpark they need to go see the trees. My all time favorite place on earth.

We drove cross country in the 80's to visit wife's grandmother and family around Ft. Bragg, just north of Mendocino. We took a side trip up through there.

Yosemite is out east of San Francisco off all by itself. There is nothing near it at all. The Redwoods are along the coast from San Francisco up towards Oregon. The tallest and most epic of which are at the top of California and very bottom of Oregon. Must see, more so than Yosemite, imo.

I have been far too fortunate. I was lucky to have been paid for a lot of it as well. You ever need advice on somewhere feel free to ask. But I will tell you I have never felt more in tune with nature and at peace than in the Redwoods. Heaven is the only way I can describe it.

I'm gonna look it up tomorrow. Can't wait to see pics of redwoods. I love to explore new places and love nature. Hopefully I can visit redwoods in the future.

After reading all of this, I see a cross country trip in my future.

Right there with you, but I have about 28 or so left to go. Worth the time if you have it. This last trip I spent a month and drove 12000 miles and hit 14 national parks and just about every state in the west. I have been fortunate and have done that trip twice. But I also used to live multiple places out there. Can't do that sort of thing anymore though.
