I get to drive back to Knoxville then back to Atlanta tomorrow.

No one would miss me. Not even you guys.

Save money next time. Drive to Atlanta airport and park in long term parking. Used to be about $7/day, probably close to $10/day now. Take shuttle to airport. Take MARTA to downtown. Saves on parking, anyway, and you don't have to drive in that ridiculous Atlanta traffic.

I was half way to this logic. I tried staying at a hotel that was close enough to walk to the passport office.

Yeah, I saw you got the low bid no tell hotel. Were you staying close to a billiard parlor? That hotel sounded way too familiar.

About 12 years ago, I flew into Atlanta for a business meeting. My boss, the VP of bars and grills booked the hotels for us. Mine, along with about 5 other people, was undergoing remodeling and upgrades. It was downtown Atlanta. It was not even on par with a Motel 6 or 8 or whatever those are. We had to stay one night while he frantically searched for other accommodations. Several conventions were going on that week, so it took him awhile. The only redeeming fact was there was a nice pool hall about a block away. Stripper quality women bringing the beer and racking the balls. It turned out good as he found much better housing for the week. I can't ***** much on him as he always picked up the bar and food tabs. I saw him drop $2500 one night in Buckhead on our bar tab.
