No. They were from the 50's and earlier. They were formed in an era when black people couldn't play with or against white people. Had to go in the back door of motel and restaurants. Sit in the back of the bus, etc. They continued to forge ahead and eventually change did come. They basically took on the mantra of Joe Hill. If a cause is worth living for, it's worth dying for.

I'm not sure if we are agreeing or
Not... I think slavery is awful... But how is killing more acceptable

Why make it a competition about which was more destructive to a race? Both were awful. It just goes to show how ****ty of a nation we can be. We fight for others but persecute those at home.

Because the amount of Indians left to fight for it is much less than the amount of blacks who were willing to stand up for their cause. If it bothers you, get some type of support effort going. Write each sports association. I would be glad to help.

Neither are acceptable in my world. Only other way I can think of it is that the genocide (and I whole heatedly agree that it was) occurred in a rather short period of time. It was fast and effective. In other words, when it started, it was a quick death. Slavery, on the other hand for many, was a slow and tortuous death riddled with humiliation before, during and after. Slow and drawn out. Neither are acceptable and neither should have happened. But, they did.
