He's good on the last update. Been quiet for about an hour. Good sign, I'm thinking.

Thanks, FD. It's all good so far. Looks like he'll be in surgery another 4 hours or so and then knocked out for two days to initiate recovery. Then, 8-10 days in ICU for recovery and observation. Be careful out there and keep your eyes on the sky. Tornado watch in effect in that area through 5pm.

When my computer installed its updates, it uninstalled google chrome. How do I stop this?

I guess TEX just pushed it over the line. Well over 8 hours in surgery. Latest update from my SIL just now=

Out of surgery in recovery now. Just met with the doctors. They said everything went as planned - no surprises. He will be moving to ICU and I should be able to see him in a couple of hours. Will post again after I see him.
