Daddy had the cotton ones, so they faded out to a nice silvery green. He wore them to the office every day and changed into scrubs for surgery. This is the style utility uniform I was first issued in 1980. They came in cotton and perma press.

Their current dress uniform is dark blue trousers and coat with light blue shirt. You can take the coat off. Army calls that Bs. Mal might know the Air Force jargon. Their daily/combat uniform is the exact same as ours now.Didn’t the Air Force used to wear baby blue shirts and dark blue trousers as their daily go-to-the-office outfit?
When I retired 16 years ago, there was only two dress uniforms: 1. Class A's and 2. Mess Dress (Tux).Their current dress uniform is dark blue trousers and coat with light blue shirt. Next lunch I expect you to dress up.When I retired 16 years ago, there was only two dress uniforms: 1. Class A's and 2. Mess Dress (Tux).
Now, every day office wear back in the day utilized the same pants and shirt as the Class A's minus the coat. We had a wind breaker, rain coat, and a trench coat. Long sleeve blue shirts were worn with a tie and short sleeve blue shirt could be worn with or without a tie.
Ancient history.
our class B's were the Class pants and shirt. Long sleeves must have the tie. Short sleeves, no tie. it was command discretion about how many of the ribbons/awards/decorations went on the B's.When I retired 16 years ago, there was only two dress uniforms: 1. Class A's and 2. Mess Dress (Tux).

With my job you can't have all that metal on because you could static shock the A/V and/or computer equipment if you have to open them up to the components. So I rarely have to wear my dress uniforms.
I was familiar with them at Hickam AFB. Never occurred to me that there might be long sleeves or coats.Their current dress uniform is dark blue trousers and coat with light blue shirt. When my uncle retired, he pretty much lived in jumpsuits (he and my dad had been flight surgeons in addition to all the other stuff.) We always called it his bug suit (like what exterminators wear), which he didn’t much appreciate.I like the pilot jumpsuits.
