So is he projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round? Those stats are pretty impressive.Look at his stats from last year's Florida game:

Final score: 26-20.
Then explain why he rode the pine for the first half of this year's game where we looked horrible: 26 to 3 in the first half.
Tennessee was not investing in him. He has demonstrated that he can make a positive difference before. He is not allowed to make that difference here. (Appearantly, we would rather lose badly than let him.)
Definitely the right decision.
i fear this will be like when Rob Smith, an OG quite a few years back, decided to go pro..never got picked and I don't even think he made a practice squad. He could have used to prove something somewhere first.
He did not start and has a year of eligibility!

Because he isn't better than Bituli or Kirkland and he's undersizedHe had 75 total tackles in 2017 under Shoop so the NFL has some tape to review.
Pruitt wouldn't start him for whatever reason this year and wasn't going to play him next year either with another round of his recruits in the fold.
His year of eligibility would have likely been used at another school. Choose to start over as a grad transfer or choose to start over taking a shot at the draft. Either way he was likely making a move.
Free agent that might hang through camp.So is he projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round? Those stats are pretty impressive.
Yeah. I mean. Let's blame the coach for the player not being worthy of a starting spot. You saw 4 down linemen didn't you? Did he do that at Bama? What about UGA? FSU he did because that's what fit his players. You still have to install your system to a degree that way everyone knows it 3-4 years down the road and you aren't starting from scratch.Yeah. I mean..God forbid a coach come to UT and adjust his scheme slightly to the personnel on hand.

Incompetent or not Jones had playoff level talent (before I get roasted, I've heard rival fans say the same thing) in 15 and 16 and coached it down to 9 wins. Therefore, there is always a punchers chance against equal talent.Saban may have had some say in how things are handled at Bama. Just sayin.
Not sure I would include his tenure at UGA as a rousing success either. Stats looked pretty but they got mangled against good teams. Jones dropped 30+ on him twice and we know how incompetent he was.
Looking forward to another 3 or 4 year "install" on defense. Maybe they can whittle it down to 3 20 point losses by year 4.
