QB Justin Worley commitment

Very true. Didnt say you couldnt. I do know this though, had this been a Kiifin commitment, you and several on here would be saying how great he was going to be. Thats the problem with all the plungers here.

I disagree. If Kiffin was still here, I'd have been just as happy as I am now. I'd be glad we got a commitment from a HS athlete, and I'd have been even happier to add depth at the QB position.
I wouldn't, however, cream my pants for a back-up QB.

Surely you understand that because Bradford and McCoy were 3* studs that Worley is also a stud because he is 3*, right?

If not, you must be one of Kiffin's girlfriends and, by definition, a hater.

No, what you should understand is that we have a proven OC that knows QB talent and am pretty sure knows how to evaluate it. Not only did this staff want Worley but so to did the last staff. You guys want to look at stars and complain about Randolph, Smith, and Posey... but all 3 of those will more than likely get their 4th star by signing day. Even Saban signs three stars my goodness look at some of the 2-3 stars on his Bama squads and LSU squads.

You can't tell me that Dooley, Chaney, Thompson, Baggett, Smith, and Wilcox cannot spot talent.

Do their fans splooge over the roster-stuffers? Probably not.

Seriously, I'm not that excited about this... but why do you guys feel the need to rain on everyone else's parade all the time? I assure you, nobody needs any guidance to become a bitter washed up fan.

don't know anything about the kid, but you have the same argument many delusional fanbases have. i.e. we recruited this kid because we see something other don't. there's another option. it's that your staff striked out with every top semi sure thing qb and instead decided to take a flier on a project and a guy who MIGHT be good. my $.02. not trying to stir the you know what.

What pleases you more, Bray or Worley?

Ask me after they have both been in the system for awhile. Right now, it is only a guess.

There have been plenty of 5-star flameouts and 3-star Heisman winners. You don't know until the pull on a college jersey and compete at that level.

I'll tell you something about Sam Bradford. He's going to be an NFL bust. He can't handle pressure. He got pressured in about 3 games during his entire NFL career, and he got killed in all of them. He will see tons of pressure in the NFL.

Well he was certainly successful in college and thats what we are, a college football program.

Great point.

While I certainly try to keep Kiffin's girlfriends in check on this board when they try to convince us about how great the good ole days of 7-6 were it is time to move forward.

Everytime we get a new commit we don't need to start comparing and contrasting DD and LK's recruiting successes/failures etc. However, sadly, I am confident this will continue.

Amen on all points, brother.

NBC Sports - College Football - Inside the Irish

"Worley's the top quarterback on Notre Dame's board, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Irish either locked in Worley or took a pass on quarterbacks in this class all together. Regardless of how quarterback friendly an offense is, it's going to be tough to sign a national recruit when you've got a crowded depth chart like Notre Dame's. "

Getting Worley in my opinion is a real good pickup for UT. But this information, even though coming from someone who covers ND, is not accurate. ND did like Worley, but he was not their No. 1 on the board at any point in time.

Agree except this was either the top QB on the board or the 2nd. This staff didn't go recruiting Rivers hard or several others that had legit interest in us last year because they felt like Worley was the best.

Are you talking about Bradford or Heath Shuler. Shuler sucked in the pros, but I loved him at UT.

Huh? :dunno: Is there a psychiatrist in the house? :jpshakehead:

I suppose every single other early enrollee's family was here too right?

Um no, his entire family literally moved from California and bought a house in Knoxville...not to mention that Kiffin already had Scroggins at USC, and missing on him here was the only reason we took Bray in the first place...
