You were the one wondering how people can defend a coach with a losing record. I'm not doing that by defending Kiffin. Everyone who defends DD on here each day is. Before you come back with some nonsense about his record in Oakland, I should remind you that Nick Saban had a losing record in the NFL, so clearly time spent in the NFL has no relevance whatsoever to success in the college ranks.

because we're true Vol fans. what do you want UT to lose every game? he's here so support the Vols. If you don't like Dooley then go find another team to support buster Vol fan

Once again don't compare Kiffin to Saban please not even in the same ballpark

He did a really good job with Crompton and we all know that he is one hell of a recruiter. He improved us over the previous year,but I am not going to say the guy is one of the 10best coaches in football. He definitely has a great staff around him and he has the upside to be really good, but he hasn't proven that he is as good as others in front of him yet.

What has he done to earn 4 million a year? It took Pete Carroll winning NC's(well technically a revoked one and an AP title from LSU's 2003 year) and 6 straight conference titles to earn that much money. Saban and Meyer both have won multiple titles and recruit just as well if not better. He is not in the upper tier of coaches so people on here need to just let him go and get USC put on more sanctions.

unfortunately Obama has been in office long enough to know if he is good or not as pres unlike Dooley. he hasn't even stepped in a live UT game so your argument is dense.

I'm really getting sick of the posters who somehow still worship Kiffin and put down our coach every chance they get. It's pretty clear to me that they are trolls posing as UT fans. Please go away and let us enjoy discussing Tennessee sports without your constant negativity! You are worse than the Gators trolls last year.

Every adult citizen has a say in electing a political leader. Not the same with a coach. I don't like Obama either but talking bad about him to people that do will not change anything. Better luck next time.

Seems to me that Strongtower's argument about "Who defends an unproven coach (paraphrased)" can ALSO be said about the Dooley defenders, and that statement was not tied to Kiffin alone. The Kiffinites (SGM, and the like) brought up THAT argument. The dude didn't even bring up Dooley, you did. Kiffin is unproven and so is Dooley. Kiffin is a heartless creep, Dooley hasn't been here long enough to know yet. Anybody with half a brain knows that Kiffin is a top notch recruiter (see Bryce Brown). And anybody with half a brain knows there is no evidence to prove whether Kiffin is a bad coach, or a good coach. Definitely a creep though.

Kiffin raped UGA after he called his shot (to the players). However the ole miss, ucla, Ohio, auburn, and va tech games were very hard to watch.

Any UT fan still sniffing Kiffin's jock these days probably has their significant other strap one on in the bedroom.

wilbon and kornheiser are both usually pretty objective about the topics they choose to talk about compared to some other sports shows. glad they took our side in the debate. pti is one of the better shows on espn IMO.
