PS4 VS Xbox720

From the sound of all the talk (right now who really knows) is that MS is focusing on the kinect integration and really going the route of making a media hub instead of a real gaming system. Not sure if I will go with either on release, Ill probably change my mind 10 different times before then.

I already know that is what I will do.

I'm getting a ps4 unless Xbox woos the **** out of me with something great. I don't want to have to buy a downloaded game twice because there ****ty console broke and I have to get a new one

you don't have to do that now with XBL, why would you have to do it with the next-gen console?

You've never had to.

The downloads are linked to your gamertag. As long as you downloaded a title once and paid for it you can do so again free of cost from whatever console as long as your under the same tag.

What prevents someone from logging in on a buddies Xbox and downloading a game for that person?

If you download on a different console than it was purchased, you must be signed in to play it.

So, your buddy would need your account anytime they want to play.

On sonys facebook page they are letting people test the new ps4, and keep it. Just like their page and share the pic or whatever and they will choose random people in 2 weeks.

in an article in the most recent Game Informer magazine, Sony has confirmed that there will not be any type of backward compatibility

nope it's said that the vast differences in architecture is the primary reason

You've got to think the Xbox will be the same. The next generation is a huge jump forward, compared to the difference between current and last gen

seems kinda redundant with the on going rise of cloud technology; allowing for further control of content.

I'm guessing that buying games online will be the primary method for most users on these next gen systems.

Look at what Steam did with the PC gaming market.
