Why would you not except a bowl bid? Put self respect aside and take the extra practice time!

The only reason I could think of is if the payout (which I think is still subject to the SEC sharing setup) creates a situation where the cost of taking part in the bowl (cost of travel, transportation of equipment and materials, etc) would be more than the actual money UTK would gain from it.

If you don't like the other bowls don't watch. I really don't know why people complain about bowl games on tv. If some kids get a chance to travel together and play another game together, GREAT. If your too busy or uninterested do something else. It's really simple.

It should require a winning record. Let Division II and Division III teams fill the bowl slots if there are not enough Division I teams with winning records.

If the same team that played today got to go to a bowl I am not sure half the team wouldnt fake a injury so they dont have to practice .
