Pruitt would accept bowl at 5-7

No team should be offered or accept a bowl bid with less than 8 wins.
Just get rid of half the bowls and allow any team that wishes to have extra (15) practices to do so. Until December 31st

If sponsors and television is willing to pay the freight why does anyi e give a flying.crap what some teams record is?.

Any coach worth his salt wants as much competition as possible and a coach who had a xrappy season should want it more than any. Regardless if it gives you extra practices or not the game prep is where you get better.

I find it interesting that there are 7 SEC teams with scores higher than UT. So much was made about the gains we made while our former coach was here. Have we slipped lately, or were we always around the middle of the SEC pack once our scores improved?

He would be dumb not to accept, these guys need every practice and game they can to help prepare for next year.

Need the extra practice.

This is the bottom line for helping to improve at the pace he, Fulmer and we the fan base are hoping for. The game itself means little, the PRACTICE TIME is what the powers that be are after.
My personal thinking is that it is somewhat unfair for some (bowl teams) to get this practice time and others not. It's like the saying ABOUT the haves and the have nots. The haves get and the have nots don't. JUST HAVE A WINTER PRACTICE OF 2 WEEKS OR SO FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO WORK.

It doesn't hurt , but what's the point? A 5 loss team needs to focus on getting better, not celebrating a win over another "we suck too" team. Like he said. Allow the practices but stay home and do it.
I believe the point would be for the money for a team and their conference. And there’s no fear of one of these 5-7 or 6-6 teams taking a playoff spot from a deserving team. Also, most of the players usually enjoy those trips.

I just don’t see a downside to letting these teams play what is essentially an exhibition game at the end of the year.

if Coach Pruitt won't accept I will...you'd be one stupid coach to not go to a bowl, if invited...don't care if we're 5-7, or not...:D

GO VOLS!

Anyone with his drive and personality would jump at the chance for the extra practices. He doesn't care what people think about him, he just wants this team to be at the level he wants them at as quickly as possible.

Of course he would and so would I. Just hope it's either Nashville or Memphis.

Talking about same tired BS. You know the TV control works just like the ignore button. You could watch Jeopardy or something.

Most schools lose money going to the smaller bowls.
