Pruitt would accept bowl at 5-7

Why is APR used to determine bowl eligibility of a 5-7 team? We will never have as good an APR as a team like Northwestern, but our SOS is way harder then theirs.

I guess they figure the higher the APR score, the more the players can afford to spend time practicing football instead of copying test answers. That said, I would attend the Bahamas Bowl if they went there.

So now he's letting the guys know 5 wins is a goal.........
How about we have this discussion after the final game. Hopefully we win all three and we're not playing in the Boise Potato Bowl in early December

No, he's not ...

Fired Fulmer for wins/losses and paid a big buy out.

Fired Dooley for wins/losses and paid a big buy out.

Fired Jones for wins/losses and paid a big buy out.

What am I missing?

Only MISSING not paying Gruden 100 Million and watch him lose...………………………….

Really, that's what it looks like on the surface. A better response would have been, let the season play out then we can take a look at our options.

If the players don't know that the goals at Tennessee are much much higher than 5 wins then they are a hopeless cause, the coach shouldn't have to tell them. I promise Pruitt's goals are much higher.

I hate the idea. Can we just accept the extra practices though??

Probably the Birmingham Bowl, Texas Bowl or the Colorado Hemp Producers Doobie Bowl! I hear they have some nice edibles, paraphernalia and incendiary products for bowl participants as well tie dye t-shirts and hoodies.

You know how you know you've hit rock bottom as a program? Your fan base and coaching staff actually take the time to discuss the merits of finishing 5-7 and hoping to make a bowl game for extra practice sessions. Unbelievable. But, this is us.

You know, even though my couple of attempts at enjoying the buzz were spectacularly unsuccessful, I might actually give the last one a second look...

It doesn't hurt , but what's the point? A 5 loss team needs to focus on getting better, not celebrating a win over another "we suck too" team. Like he said. Allow the practices but stay home and do it.
Wouldn’t playing another team in an actual game be the best practice?

Still don’t understand why football fans don’t want to watch their team play more football games. The season is pretty short as it is. Wouldn’t it be about the same as having a losing record at the mid-point of the season and saying, well we’re not very good, we don’t deserve to play anymore games this year.
