This might be the dumbest thing posted today. At least the first 5. If those aren't Top 14 jobs then they don't exist.
And please tell me you aren't basing what a top job is based on all time wins.
Suggesting that this might be the dumbest thing posted today is hilarious. Did you miss the posts about hiring Dabo or Urban?
You can't base the quality of the job on the current head coaches performance. If we had Jimbo, Kirby, or Dabo, we'd be up there, too. And you can't put it all on recruiting bases, otherwise, Florida or Texas schools would win the natty every year. When Fulmer worked, he owned GA and SC and did well in FL/CA.
Historic wins are a factor, as well as $, fan support and facilities.
If you're so sure of your statement, tell me how the following 5 are top 14 jobs.
If LSU is a top 14 job, how'd they wind up with Coach O (laughed at as an HC prior to last year)? Remember Saban quit 'em and they fired Miles.
A&M's all about Jimbo. What makes that a better job? The 12th man? The bonfire? I remember the disappointment when they joined the SEC (they were Texas' poor little sister that couldn't compete in the SWC).
Auburn is Alabama's poor little step-sister that was dumb enough to fire Little Bowden and Gus...who are they going to get better than Gus - he's the only SEC coach that's beat Saban 3 times? The most impressive thing about Auburn is that they aren't afraid to pay a buyout - which they'll regret doing this time.
Georgia is all about Kirby (like A&M). They weren't an elite job when Richt was there...nor Donnan before him (hired from Marshall).
Clemson's all about Dabo (what a surprise, huh?). The last time they were in a BCS bowl before Dabo was in '81 ('58 before that). No way you can call a job a top 14 job if they hired UTC's head coach in the last 30 years.
I look forward to your response...
