Pruitt has exceeded expectations

True, and Fulmer was a great coach, but he inherited a ton more talent than Pruitt.
Well, in Fulmer's defense, it's not like he was not one of the key architects of what he took over in 92, right? He had been OC and recruiting coordinator and etc. It's not like he just came out of nowhere and took the roster over . . . he was one of the keys in building that roster.

I agree. Not much depth, injuries, etc. and still in position to hopefully go bowling. I’m excited to see what he can do with a loaded roster.

Before the season started i honestly thought 4-8 would be our best hope, 3-9 very likely and 5-7 a damn good season.
Anyone who has watched this team the last 5 years, the lacking class that came in, and could see 5 wins before the season was kidding themselves and couldn’t separate reality from history. No one was counting auburn as a W and no one would’ve thought UK would be top 15 team at this point. Beating both show how far this team has come in a short time and should show what this staff can do.
I also know a lot of people haven’t been happy about the previous 2 games but this is year 1 and with what this staff inherited, up and downs should be expected. Just remember the ups have been higher than expected and the downs are about what should’ve been expected anyway.
We were giving up 400 rushing yards a game last year, JG couldn't get out of his own way, now the changes are incredibly better.

Not the same. Why would you even compare those idiots to Pruitt?

Insert whichever coach you wish who got a contract extension before actually accomplishing anything of note if that makes you feel better. Bully to Pruitt if he manages 6-wins and a bowl his first year, but that's not worth extending his 6-year contract after one season.; he wasn't hired to get UT back to bowl-eligibility.

Besides, when Saban finally leaves, if Pruitt is still here, and Alabama wants him, it won't matter what it cost to buy out his contract. Alabama is committed to spending whatever it takes on their football program, and it's Pruitt's alma mater, if they come calling in a few years he's gone.

I disagree that he has "exceeded expectations" the Auburn and Kentucky wins are awesome, no doubt. But its clear neither team is really a top 15 team. I expected to beat Florida and South Carolina as well as Kentucky so he hasn't exceeded my expectations. Don't get me wrong, I think we are definitely headed in the right direction and I think we have a great young coach.
Mullen has exceeded expectations unfortunately.

I have to ask you, did you give us ANY shot at all before the season started of beating Auburn on the road?

Guys are staying position and wrap up tackling instead of missed knockout blows. We're heading up.

I think we had a bad hang over from USC getting away from us and just weren't interested last week. Effort was totally lacking at home coming. Team is getting it and playing better. I think we get to a bowl and that will mean a lot.
I don't buy the weren't interested point of view. If it is true, that needs to be addressed quickly and fixed. 60 minutes every game regardless of who you are playing.

wait.... what ?!?!? 😂.... is that really him or just a bald guy in the same shirt ?? It looks like him but something about the profile and height doesnt seem quite right
That's what I was thinking... It doesn't look like Pruitt to me....

Top 20 we have played:
West Virginia
Georgia
Alabama
Florida
Kentucky
Auburn

He has done a good job. We have defeated 2 of them . Rough schedule for a rookie head coach.
