Agree with you about the players, but the powers that be should be pistol whipped out of town for letting the program fall this far.I'm going to put this on players more than coaches. Coaches can only do so much when it comes to firing players up. Throw in NO senior leadership and to many players that know their UT 'careers' are at an end, are glad and don't give a f***..
Can't remember when I've seen such sorry effort. Blame it on the coaches if it makes you feel better but it just doesn't work that way.
Yep, the lack of effort against Mizz and Vandy with a bowl on the line is going to stick in folks craw all off season if we don't get something positive on signing day. A mediocre class will all but seal his fate in many people's minds. This is the only thing remaining to attach any hope. If recruiting is just "aight" we're in deep poo.
Our minds dont matter. His results do. If he needs horses and cant get them, we are screwed.Yep, the lack of effort against Mizz and Vandy with a bowl on the line is going to stick in folks craw all off season if we don't get something positive on signing day. I think Pruitt’s biggest issue is he’s never had a lockeroom with as many losers as we have. I think he’s never had to worry about the basics, like motivation and core fundamentals. He’s coached very talented teams where those types of characteristics were a given. I think he has to completely rethink his approach to coaching with these players. I also think he needs to purge this lockeroom. All year, i have refrained from judging Pruitt. Thus far, i think his coaching sucks. The vols dont even know the fundamentals associated with the game of football. I would not call for Pruitts head but i'm really disappointed. I still will mostly bite my tongue with him for 2-3 years. Praying for improvement next year....MAJOR improvement.

I don't think we are as talented as Vanderbilt. Sad to say, but it is true. We have a few stars sprinkled in, but then we also have some gaping weak spots...
Perhaps, but today’s performance makes me question that as a certainty. This is his team and his team just got killed by Vanderbilt.Did Pruitt recruit under size offensive/ defensive lineman, slow WR's, DB's, RB's, and top it all off no QB coach. He probably didn't think the hole was as deep, we got a long way to go, so hang on, we going to get there.( I BACK PRUITT).
They didn’t stop 1 slant. No defensive adjustments. QB 31-35 is unacceptable. The effort was pathetic. Players and Coaches are responsible.Pruitt didn't recruit these players. Pruitt can't go out there and block, neither can the other coaches. The defense was already thin and JG being off had them gassed. Vandy had every team not named bama down to the wire. Pruitt coached these guys up to beat Kentucky and Auburn. The wheels fell off and expect a lot of trimming the fat this off-season. I mean, a lot of folks had us at 2-10 or a best 4-8. Idk what y'all expected.
I think it’s still an open question about Pruitt, but no Tennessee team should get beaten this badly by Vanderbilt. Ever. No excuses. This was a poorly prepared football team with a lot on the line. There is no sugar coating that.I never had faith in Pruitt from the start...I honestly didn't think he has what it takes to coach a bigtime SEC team and today proves it...Team looked pathetic and unprepared...This was for bowl eligibility and he has already lost this team...No motivation...Nothing...I've been watching Tennessee football since the early 70's and the past 2 years are without doubt the worst UT teams I have ever seen...And I have seen some bad ones!...I feel bad for Chryst wasting his final year with us...He could've went anywhere and he choose us and had to sit and watch this crappy football all season...Completely and totally sick of this stuff...We are a laughing stock of college football...A once proud football program has been reduced to losing to Vanderbilt 3 years in a row...VANDERBILT!!!....My god
Culture change! Pruit new that was his toughest challenge! 1 recruiting year isn’t enough. The biggest issue is the lack of intensity. Team doesn't even seem to care.
