President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

I wonder what all of the medals are for?

I doubt that they are for winning wars.

The trick is to look above the commendation/achievement merit badges - generally green and white and green and orange. Then weed out the "meritorious" merit badges - like Legion of Merit type stuff. There aren't that many for valor when you get down to it; most stuff is for getting tickets punched on the way to advancement.

To be fair, liberals are consistent in their beliefs on what qualifies as human, see their views on abortion (whenever it’s convenient for them to be human, they are human).

I think we can see plenty of humanity in AOC for example, but boy is she a wacko. If you could erase politics from her brain completely she might actually be pretty cool.

I think I voted for Pete in the GA primary.
Not attacking you, I’m just truly curious what his appeal would be as a POTUS candidate? His only qualification I’m aware of is being a mayor of a city the size of Chattanooga. Parlays his failed primary bid into a cabinet position over transportation then takes 4 months paternity leave. Other than his alternative lifestyle I can’t see why he appeals to any voters? Maybe I’m missing it

I just don't really believe there is a strong correlation between how "qualified" a person is to be president and their perceived job performance. It's about having the right people around you, being able to manage those people, appealing to the general public, having luck with economic timing, etc..... The president is primarily a figurehead.

Thank you. Doing well. I had the 30 post procedure echo yesterday. No regurgitation, and the valve is well seated. Some issues I'd been having and attributed to mild asthma before the procedure were apparently symptoms of cardiac failure because the lungs cleared immediately after the TAVR and no episodes of breathing problems since. Heart rhythm has been much better than before the TAVR - took a couple of weeks to settle down. At the appointment yesterday, they suggested participating in a Watchman trial - the implant to close the left atrial appendage; I'm considering it because I do have a bundle branch block and periods of A fib.

Take care; I really hate the conditions necessary in hospitals right now, and I know you feel them far more acutely. I've been amazed at the empty hallways during the hospital visits over the past several months - sometimes it almost felt like a ghost town. My wife had covid in August of 2020, and she's still struggling with some lingering effects; seeing that first hand tends to make you very wary.

TAVRS are genius. I have seen shortness of breath resolve immediately after the surgery. People are astonished at the result as was I. The watchman trial I see is also done percutaneus which is beneficial to you. Are they considering it due to the afib and anti-coagulation? The study shows people coming off anticoagulation in 6 months and the study has a Golden standard p value. That’s reassuring.
The hospitals are really ghost towns. We have visitation from 11-6 daily where loved ones can come visit. They can stand outside the glass. It breaks my heart.
Covid brain is real. Residual effects of covid are very real. I think I had shortness of breath for 4 months while still wearing n 95 masks caring for covid pts. I’m watching nurses who have asthma suffer daily. My older coworkers are struggling and ready to retire. Recently we lost a nurse who was supposed to retire in February. They found her down 3 weeks ago. It was around the time we lost 12 pts in 2 weeks. Grief overload made the unit very quiet for about a week. Had to realize the living need my attention and my grief is quietly dealt with at home.
It’s easy for people to play the blame game with covid. In the end, I just take care of pts and families. Something I wish all nurses were centered on.

Tulsi is bringing it. She should be the leading democrat in the field in 2024. She destroyed Hilldog and K'ma'la so they destroyed her. She will bounce back strong. I'm not a big Tulsi person but the democrats would so well to back her as the lead voice in the party.
Made Kamala tap out. They can’t back her because she’s not willing to conform to stay in office.

One of the worst steps is allowing legislation to pass by a simple majority. 2/3 or 3/4 is an effective way to cool "passionate factions". Somehow we the people need to take power to change congressional rules away from congress and put in place reforms that prevent one party or one faction from running the table when they are in power. ObamaCare should never have been able to pass as it did, one simple example. There's been a lot of time wasted by parties in power drumming up legislation that they believe can squeak by because they hold a bare majority - time that should actually have been spent by a broader view to do what the country needs - not what a faction wants to bribe their constituents.
I agree with this... or we scrap everything entirely and start over.
